This past Saturday. Testlets went medium to kinda easy but not really. The sims were rough. The 2 DRS and research were fine but everything else was cra. Here’s hoping for a miracle..

There were waaay to many not for profit accounting questions and I’m pretty sure I bombed most of them. I definitely spent more time on the third testlet than I had wanted to and that’s because I didn’t know what they were even asking

My friend took it this past Saturday and said the same thing.

I take FAR at 8 am, have to be up at 5 am and can't sleep. 2:05 am here. I've NEVER had test anxiety until now.

@WorkingMomof1 , how you did in MCQ ? Is it your first time FAR ? Just curious could you finally solve the 3rd testlet ? I mean could you figure out ?

I remember when I took FAR the first time I was crunched for time so I skipped NFP and Gov't. When I took it the second time, the first lecture I listened to in Becker said.. NFP and Gov't could be up to 40% of your exam. I was like, son offff a … Both times I took it were very heavy in both areas.

This was my second attempt at FAR. I didn't really study for the first one; was still listening to lectures for the first time day before the test. I didnt feel like the MCQs were any more or any less challenging on this new format than the older version

I think I did okay on the mcqs but then again I'm wrong when I think I'm right on practice tests. 😏

I was definitely not expecting so many NFP questions. I don't think it meets the percentage breakdown they say it's supposed to be. Bah😏

Just got back from taking FAR and all I can say is WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! Multiple choice were hard but manageable and the first set of TBS were the same. I took my break and went into the next set of sims thinking I should be able to pass this thing but not after those. The 3 sims I got in testlet 4 each had like 40 boxes to fill in. Was running too low on time to thoroughly answer them. Moved onto to testlet 5 which had my research I was able to find, but the other two sims were still pretty hard. Only got 2 DRS and had to fill in wayyy too many blanks for the time given. Fully expecting a fail come August. Back to AUD in the meantime :/

I can understand your situation ,last March I was trying to solve a SIM in AUD and even though I knew the solution ,couldn't fill all the fields.So many ratios was supposed to calculate and there were 2 questions like that.I could hardly finish 35% of 2 SIMS.Felt frustrated after exam.
but passed so keep your hope alive it's CPA exam and it is consistently inconsistent.You got 2 DRS that's good though.

I took far and tbh I dont see why people complain about the DRS. I find those to be easier than the research questions. Glad I had two of them and a research question. I found the sims to be okay. Only one that I was completely unsure of. I think I did okay on the rest.

Since audit expires tomorrow I hope I passed. Fingers crossed.

As for the MCQs I found them to be okay. Both testlets were medium. I had test anxiety going into the test because I heard of people who had up to 40% of the test as GNP and I definitely understudied the not for profit part. I would say I lucked out. Maybe 10 questions GNP and I felt like I knew most of them.

Also I forget to say that I think FAR under the new format is easier than it was under the old format. Fingers crossed I didnt jinx myself.
