The exam wasn’t bad but the fact that I wasn’t prepared because of a mix of procrastination and work hours. This makes me feel like I can actually pass a CPA exam unlike FAR.

Hey @siddkid, Im in a weird boat. I've watched all the Becker videos and have gone through all the MCQs once, except R1-R4 which I've done like 2-3 times through each. I was planning on taking it July 1, but my buddies are telling me to make an attempt on June 10, so I don't waste a testing window and if I fail, I can just find out on June 19 and get a new NTS to sit for July 1 anyways. Would you recommend I sit for June 10? I feel ok on the generic material as a whole, but Ima take a mock exam tmrw, doubt i'll get above a 50 tbh lol. Did you take a mock exam, and if you don't mind, what was your score? I feel overwhelmed with all the specific rules and amounts to memorize. Two of my buddies took Mocks and got like 30 or 34 but actually passed the real thing.

Funny enough I was in the same boat as my NTS expires today so I decided to take it anyways with 3-4 weeks of studying (not that easy with a job). But I ended up taking the test thinking that this might be a mock test, a costlier one tho haha
So I didn't take any mock test and I actually skimmed over alot of the Ethics part as well. None of the SIMS were from Ethics. I'll recommend mastering the Taxation part of the exam because that was a big chunk of the exam.

IMO take the exam unless you care about passing in the first try or something similar. Personally I didn't care so I took it!

What was the difficulty of your mcqs vs sims like? How would you best recommend studying for sims?

SIMS were prolly harder than MCQs because of the number of exhibits.

Oh, we took the REG at the same day. I feel almost the same as you. The MCQs are not that hard,I feel comfortable with. But that last two SIMs are hard, even the research question I am not sure I did it right. But I think we will pass😃

BTW, FAR is my next exam, do you have any advices how to study it and what topics will be heavily weighted on the exam.
