Im taking FAR in a few days and I’m not sure what to do next? I’m doing around 60-80 in all the sections pretty much and I’m not sure if I should just keep doing MCQ or watch more lectures? I’m worried. I also have Wiley CPA excel

2 days left for me and I'm still in the high 50-low 60s on MCQ. Keep plugging FAR is a BEAST. Good luck

I haven't taken any sections yet but sitting for FAR in three days. In my reviewing I've found it's not helpful to re-watch lectures again at this point, unless it's something I'd pretty much forgotten about and needed a new overview. I have been spending about half my study time reviewing notes, re-writing notes, and taking focused quizzes on my problem areas, and the other half has been tons of MCQ over all topics and practicing random sims. In my opinion practicing MCQ is where it's at at this point. I guess I'll find out if it pays off…

I've also taken multiple mock exams and scored 66-79.

    FAR - 85 (12/17)
    AUD - 80 (1/18)
    REG - 83 (6/18)
    BEC - 85 (7/18)

    Ethics - 95

I agree with Itooshallpass. Don't waste time on rewatching do SIMS and MCQ. For me I know SIMS are the problem I'm cranking down the Ninja FAR SIMS doing every single one. IMO MCQ can be luck but SIMS give u much more in depth. Plus it is good practice because the new exam is all about time mgmt. For me I get nervous seeing so much info thrown at me especially there will be 5-6 docs per SIM. doing more give u the exposure and necessary time mgmt. skills

It's sounds like your on your way to success, I'd make sure you do all the MCQS and sims before the test, maybe cover week areas videos or book if your are consistently struggling. MCQs with consistent notes are super helpful in the review phase for me. Good luck!

Find 5-7 sections that you are struggling with. For example Inventory, EPS, Pensions. Take those noted areas and make sure they are strong points come test day. You are right around where you need to be. Look at the sections you struggle and nail those down. If you can master another 5-10 areas you are all set. Take 2 hours per section and do all the MCQs and really hone in on everything they could ask. By doing that you are guaranteed to get another 5 MCQs right and 1-2 SIMS. 5 MCQs and 2 SIMS is the difference between a 73 and a 78.

I'd crank on Gov't accounting and try to get that score up, that is something you know you are going to see on FAR. Looks like you are right there but try to get that trending up to 75 or higher just for a confidence boost! You can get a lot done in 7 days, good luck!

When I took it, Gov't was 12-16%. I'm sure it is still about the same. Can definitely be a difference maker if you know it well.

I think all the points given here are pretty much just confirmation of the Aicpa blueprint. Believe the blueprint, it's pretty spot on to what I saw on my far test.
