Waiting for Interview

So I recently applied for a position that requires only a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred it says). I have my bachelor’s and master’s in accounting and I just passed the CPA exam at the end of last year (waiting to be licensed). So I figured I would at least get an interview. It’s been almost three weeks and I haven’t heard back from them. I know after the interview if you haven’t heard back, it’s acceptable to reach out and see what they are thinking, but my question is this: is it acceptable to reach out before the interview? To see if they need any more information, documents, etc.? Or will that just make me look too eager? Thanks in advance for the input!

Rejection is the norm not the exception (new to the job market?), but wouldn't hurt to confirm if they received your resume/application.

I'd just move on. They likely got dozens of resumes, and selected those they want to interview. Its not enough anymore to meet the minimum requirement of a masters degree when others applying may well have a masters, plus their CPA license in hand, plus experience that the hiring company finds desirable. It stinks but its highly competitive out there.
