I will start off by saying I was very well prepared for the exam. I passed it before, and studied for good 100 hours again this time.

First testlet, I am 99% sure that I got at least 20 out of 24 correct. Yet, second testlet questions seem to get easier, one sentence question, more theory, but trickier. Same for the third testlet…

I had over 90 minutes left for the SIMS and blew it.

2 topics were on BEC which I had trouble writing about, and one on edit (FAR) which I assume is pre test.

I feel confident I wrote a good introduction and conclusion for all 3 SIMS, but the body paragraphs I completely went blank and didnt know what the hell to write.

I definitely feel like i need to take business writing class after I pass this exam.

Might want to edit. Doesn't matter if you think a question is pre test, you can't disclose even the subject matter of any questions you saw. You agreed to that when you launched the exam. That said I hope you did well.

@funtiks…it was exactly my exam!!! I did not what to think either and wc the same….ending up passed with 78!! I hope you pass too…

@funtiks….I would not worry about not “knowing” the answers to a couple of the Writing samples. It is my understanding from many many people on these forums that actually getting the “right” answer is of much lesser importance than how the writing sample is formatted/written. For instance, on my BEC exam, there was one sample that I knew absolutely nothing about. I did not panic knowing that it did not matter(much) that I didn't know the “answer”. So I just made up information and wrote like I knew what I was talking about, and I was not concerned that my content was incorrect. I got an 85 on the exam. This by no means guaranteed that I got a great score on that writing sample, but I just wanted to point out that most people believe that format/writing skill is much more important than the content of your answer.

I agree with zoctoman. I think it's more about how you write than your content/answers. I think my review book even stressed that, but I would have to dig them out again to be sure. Formatting, grammar, spelling, etc. If you think about it, a computer is grading this so there are limitations on what it can check.

funtiks, I had a similar experience. The questions on the third test let got so easy that they started asking for definitions. I don't think I pass this time around because of how easy the questions were. It seems that the harder the BEC exam get, the bigger your chances of passing. This same logic does not apply to neither FAR nor Audit.
