Hello everyone,
On 10/6, I took FAR, which was potentially the last CPA exam I will ever take. When I took it, I got through the first 3 testlets, and I think I did extremely well on the MC. The questions played to my strengths, and I was able to catch the tricks they were throwing at me.
Problem was, I do not feel very good about the SIMS. I got the research question fully right, and I think that I did okay on a couple of others. There is a possibility I got only 50% or below on some of the other SIMS…that’s if you get partial credit for having all of the right debit and credit accounts. (By the way, do you get credit for correct debit and credit accounts for journal entries?)
My reason for this post is to ask everyone’s opinion if I should go ahead and start studying now for a retake in January? I don’t find out my score until November 4th, but I feel like I am wasting my time not studying, even though I may have passed……If I don’t start studying now, I will wait until 11/4 to start, and then take it the first week of January.
I would appreciate anyone’s advice on my situation and what you would suggest? I analyze my exam in my head all day long, and since this is my last part to take, its all I think about? Would I be better off getting an extra 1.5 weeks in plus the 8 weeks until January, or should I just wait until 11/4 to see what I got? I’m just not sure if I got enough points on the SIMS, and I’m scared to death I may have to study for 2 more months……………PLEASE HELP……..
