Just wondering and I know it will be different for everyone, but which section did you hate the most and why?

    BEC - PASS
    FAR - PASS
    Audit - PASS
    REG - PASS

Im studying for FAR right now and its pretty damn bad.

But I hated BEC the most. Too many things to memorize, and the process of getting through 15 or 20 MCQs always seem to take like… an hour and a half! I always felt like I needed at least 2 hour blocks of study time to really make it work… like one hour lunch breaks at work seemed worthless and not enough time to get into the material fully. At least with FAR, I can pick an “easier” topic and sit and do work in that area for only an hour but still feel like it was a good study hour.

    REG - 65, 70, 80!
    BEC - 35, 62, 79!
    AUD - 73, 75!
    FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE.

I'm done with REG and BEC, studying for FAR, and I must say studying for FAR pretty much blows. I would rather study for BEC and REG all over again before studying for FAR. But that's just me.

FAR…the material is so wide and deep and they can ask anything. With the others, you pretty much know what you are dealing with..IMHO.

Well, it's really hard to say. At first I hated FAR but after a few weeks of studying I actually enjoyed learning the material (believe it or not!:))

BEC took me 50% less time to prepare, but as someone above mentioned, it took forever to go through the MCQ's. Nevertheless, I appreciated the fact that it took me only 4 weeks to prepare for this part (about 70 hrs).

I guess REG was the worst because I never took a corp taxation class, so that part was hard to memorize, and business law topics are SO boring! I was literally missing studying for FAR!

I'm studying for AUD now. I thought it would be boring (my auditing class was!) but I actually find it interesting and a bit challenging too – having to put all the pieces of info together to see the big picture. I bet the SIMS will be WAY harder than anything else I've taken so far.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

I thought REG was the worst, and I LOVE tax. (at least for now….)

I just thought Becker did not properly prepare you for the difficulty of questions that the exam would ask. While FAR had TONS of topics it could ask you, I thought the actual questions were at least similar in difficulty to those in Becker.

    Audit: 97
    BEC: 92
    REG: 89
    FAR: (8/30/2013)

AUD – My favorite because I could just sit back and focus on material over and over until I get it. Little to no calculations and I also found it kind of interesting.

BEC – Didn't like it as much as AUD, but the book was so small that I felt 6-7 weeks was plenty of time. Plus, no SIMS and the WC is not that bad if you format it correctly. Some topics were very difficult but mnemonics helped and I didn't see too many tough topics on the exam.

REG – Ugh. I always hated tax. Tons of very detailed calculations with so many different variations. Very hard for me. The only plus is that half the book is Business Law which is not as bad (not “easy” though, it can get tricky). After repetition, you can master the Business Law but for me it seems like there are so many tax variations PLUS all tax sims. Double Ugh.

FAR – Haven't taken it yet but it just feels like so much material to study. Pretty much every chapter is hard (for me). Watching the videos, taking notes, etc feels like it is taking forever.

FAR, REG, BEC, AUD..That is my difficulty rating from hardest to not as hardest (none are “easy”)

I thought FAR was the most stressful to study for due to all the material, but REG was the harder test by a wide, wide margin. Those REG sims are killer
