    Hey guys,

Which tax year rules does the CPA exam test? For example, If I’m preparing to test in November 2017, would it be testing rules for 2016 or 2017?

Also, what if I’m sitting in Jan or Feb 2018?

    Thanks

The rules in the past and present. Your CPA exam reviewers have already included/added these to their CPA review materials.
Try this link: https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/the-cpa-exam-blueprints-must-check/ especially the two URL links given there.

    Good luck.

    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - 55
    Passed: AUD (75%'08/77%'17), REG (76%'09) & BLaw(77%'99); highest on FAR (63%'11/'15) & BEC (63%'11). Credit Hours: USA(PH)-BCom'85(4yr-grandfathered); UBC-(DAP'02/'19); DC-(BBA-Acctg.'22-4th yr)=over 150 hrs credits

AFAIK, tax code changes on the exam takes place after Q2. So if you take it on November 2017, January 2018 and Febuary 2018 use 2017 tax code until Q3 of 2018. Your CPA review program should cover the changes.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 81
    REG - 82
    FAR - 74 first attempt
