Is anyone using Wiley CPAexcel review course? I know Jeff says they are good people but I’ve had multiple issues with their software and their canned response is always to use google chrome browser if you’re using explorer or use Firefox if you’re using google chrome. Whatever browser you aren’t using is the one that you should be using. Are these guys serious? I extended the end date on my exam planner and it totally rearranged the lesson plans on my dashboard into a illogical crap pile where lessons that I had already reviewed were shifted to a future date and lesson that I hadn’t reviewed were shift to past dates. Prior to that the lessons were simply in the order of the text.

For the last month, when I log into the FAR section, the first thing that comes up is a previous taken lesson assessment. I have to hit the submit testlet button in order to get to the dashboard and syllabus section. This is maddening for a CPA review course that I spent almost $2k and it keeps getting worse. No coincidence they were able to keep things running smoothly no matter what browser I was using during my 14 day trial period. It would be great if they could do whatever they do during the trial period over and over and over and over and over again. At this point if I manage to pass FAR on April 2, it will be despite Wiley not because of Wiley.

ok, rant over. Back to studying for FAR and jumping over Wiley software hurdles.

I passed REG, BEC, and AUD with Becker. After failing FAR 3 times I decided to buy Wiley platinum for FAR. I have all the same problems you have. It sucks that every time I log in I'm taken to an assessment. There are sections that I've finished and then because I was taken to an assessment that I click out of it changes my score. There was an update to FAR and it changed my calendar completely. I'm just working my way through all the MCQs, so I don't really care. It's annoying.

Wiley is kind of wild. Becker, Roger, Ninja, and Gleim all have better interfaces.

    AUD - 64, 80 Passed on 10/09/17

    BEC - 75 Passed on 12/09/17

    FAR - 69, 71, 73, 83 Passed on 06/10/18

    REG - 81 Passed on 09/10/17

Sorry to hear you have those issues too but it's nice to know that I'm not the only one experiencing these issues with Wiley. When's your FAR retake? I take FAR on April 2 for the first time.

I'm taking the whole window to study and taking it on June 9th. I plan on doing all the MCQs/TBS in Wiley and Ninja.

Your's is coming up. Good luck.

Thanks. Along with FAR in April, I'm taking AUD in May and I'm taking BEC on June 8. I'm hoping to go 3/3 in Q2. Good Luck to you on June 9.

It's not just you. I received the same illogical advice when I kept telling them the software was having glitches and then a software update was issued weeks later. They are INCOMPETENT at WileyCPA. Also, I believe they merged two different companies to form WileyCPA. As you mentioned, CPA candidates have paid thousands of dollars for flawed software. I wish Another 71 had a better search function so others can find these postings.

I experienced the flaw with the exam planner today because I setup my schedule for BEC and it didn't spread the lessons plans based on my schedule. When I was studying for FAR, I had the same issue as you. One person told me that he passed all four sections with Wiley so I will keep my fingers crossed and I don't have a choice since I already paid over $2,000. 🙁

    AUD - 81
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 76
    REG - 80
    AUD - 81
    BEC - 70, 77
    FAR - 70, 70, 76
    REG - 70, 80
(I used WileyCPA and Ninja-FAR only)

It took almost two years, but I am now finished with my CPA exams.

I tried cpaexcel, it was too monotonous so I am using Ninja. It is very aggravating and annoying to spend money on software to get a one size fit all answer. The anxiety to pass is really high so they might want to do better. So far no complaints with Ninja, if I can make myself interested in the book. Hey good luck finding the right fit.

Yes, there are companies that, for whatever reason, can't even implement proper beta testing. Our company also tells customers to use Chrome (and Puffin for mobile), because our tech support is also our site maintainer and also our developer and also our designer etc etc.

    B: 72

I was thinking about purchasing the test bank so decided to use the 14 day free trial. And after doing some of the questions there explanations of the answer are very bad, and in some cases the explanation is just the EXACT repeat of the answer choice. I would never buy this, thank god I just keep using the free trial to use their info.
