    Hi,

I have scheduled the exam in a week (2/13) and I am very insecure about the written communication task. I’m using Becker’s for the review but don’t feel confident about this area.

I read on this forum that the examiners do not focus on the content of the question but mostly on the writing skills. Other doubt is; Do I need to close with a signature the response? How long does the answer must be to ensure a correct response? What “introduction” and “conclusion” can somebody recommend that I can memorize? (any example).

Please, somebody give me some advice or some extra material I can use for this part of the exam. I will be eternally grateful.

    Thank you!

To answer your questions in order:

    1. The prompt generally tells you what role you are playing, so I would sign my letter with whatever my role is supposed to be.

    2. There is no length requirement. Again, it is all about the quality of your response and if you have good writing skills. People say the readers don't care about the quality, but you can't be ridiculously off topic and you need to make it look like you've thought about your response and that it's somewhat on point.

    3. An intro I would recommend is: Hi so and so, thank you for your questions about…. I would recommend doing… and to accomplish that, I would recommend taking the following courses of action.

A conclusion I would recommend is: If you have any questions about the above recommendation, please feel free to reach out to me via email at (email address) or phone at 123-456-7890.

    Hope this helps!
