Worried about BEC

    Hey everyone!

Anyone else study BEC and think to themselves how this is the easiest subject? The COSO/IT are fine, can memorize that stuff no worries, however, the cost accounting/MGT operations/Financial Mgt chapters seems to have such complex calculations and formulas in the Becker book and MCQ.

Everyone says this is the “easiest” but i’m honestly having an extremely tough time with the Becker MCQ quizzes for the non COSO/IT stuff.

I think you're making an assumption. Historically, BEC has had the highest passing rate – most likely because it's the last exam most candidates take, and thus the talent pool (of candidates taking the exam) is stronger – not because it's easier. If you work at a middle market CPA firm as an auditor, surely you'd find AUD to be the “easiest” exam; same with tax professionals and REG. And for many people taking the exam just after graduation, FAR is easier, given it's the most familiar, intuitive exam, consistent with their studies over the past several years.

The essays account for 15% of the exam, which involves subjectivity. Also, there's more memorization that anything. COSO, Economics, and IT are only memorization.

    AUD - 75
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 77
    REG - 76

I think absolutely the same. I fail BEC 3 and going to take the 4 next month. Im really rush and tough cuz my REG's going to expire on Oct. I found many calculation and the Variances things in SIM to hard for me.

Try to understand what you are trying to accomplish with the calculations. Starting with the formulas is fine, but understanding it at an intuitive level should be the goal.

    AUD - 95
    BEC - 87
    FAR - 84
    REG - 90
