Can you give an example about this? Becker's CAR IN BIG made this part super easy for me.

Hi I've been forcing myself to study for FAR as much as I could. Something is better than nothing. I'm in LA so things are a bit in our face a bit more than other areas of the U.S. I feel. Hope all are doing good and staying positive. I'm still here just don't come on as much.

Thanks @Tncincy I definitely just need to get started somehow lol. That's the hardest part. I'm going to set up a study schedule and hopefully start next week! Need to get in the zone…

    Hi @ColombianCPA

I failed FAR with a 60 and my score report showed weak in all areas. I feel like you shouldn't really rely on it if scoring in the 60's or lower.

For me personally, I'm going to start fresh, but with the last few chapters from the Becker book since I didn't really cover that information. I basically tried to cram 3 chapters or so in 2 weeks which didn't work for me. The last 2 weeks should be for review lol.

Reflect on your study for your exam attempt, what came up on your exam, what stuck and what didn't, what do you feel you can improve on? I'd suggest starting fresh. You will definitely get through most of the material a lot quicker and it will most likely make more sense another time around. Study to pass the section and move on to another one! Good luck!

I need to get back to studying soon and am finding it hard! Stuck at home all the time the last thing I want to do is study after a long day of working from home! Literally on my kitchen table 24/7. The thought of it is just…no.

I feel like anyone with a passing score which will expire regardless should get an extension though. Mine will expire 4/2021 and feel it should be extended still. This pandemic is affecting everyone.

From Prometric center. “We're emailing you to inform you that your upcoming test with Prometric for 5/5/20 is still confirmed.” I live in LA.

Hi @AndreA is your exam still confirmed? Also in the LA area here. I don't have an exam scheduled yet, but will start studying soon.

No problem and I know what you mean. It's pretty frustrating how we're left in limbo due to everything going on. It's like, what do we do? Keep studying until we can go in and actually sit for a section? Who knows when that will be.

Good luck!! Gov and NFP is definitely must know. I failed with a 60 last time and will start with the last few chapters of the Becker FAR book this time. I had rushed through those topics.

I am going to start studying for my FAR retake. Apparently Prometric will remain closed through May 31st so I guess we just study even though this date could get extended. I'm here in southern CA and feel so unsure about getting back at it. If I start studying now I hope to be able to sit for it some time in July.

When I passed BEC my feelings were pretty much the same for my 70 fail and 82 pass. Too many on here claim to swear they fail but pass with 80+ scores and are in “complete shock”. Maybe I know myself too well and can tell if I even have a decent chance of passing or not. Be honest with yourself and just make sure you know enough to pass. I failed FAR with a 60 and will hopefully pass my retake after busy season. My BEC expires in April of 2021. I only got through ch 1-7 of the Becker FAR book at a good pace and rushed through 8-10.

Thanks for the tips! I failed with a 60 and have an idea of what I need to do next time around. So true about the difficulty of problems in study material vs the actual exam mcq. Fairly straightforward on the exam. Foundation is definitely key. That's part of my strategy next time too– have to get through the entire study material before I actually schedule my exam. Otherwise I freak out towards the end and find it hard to concentrate.

Yeah I have a good idea what I need to work on. This time around I'm starting with the last 3 chapters and actually going to get through those. Redoing ALL chapters of course, actually practice sims and take a mock. Also going to have a more steady schedule. I felt so rushed.

I failed with a 60. Would have been more surprised if I passed.
