    Like the previous commenter, the question is definitely on the hard side and probably won’t be on the exam. That been said, how do you like Becker? It definitely wasn’t my favorite and found Roger to be so much greater. If you feel you already paid for the course and don’t want to spend any more on additional courses, there are other resources out there that may help. For example the Investopia short videos and the accounting tool website helped me. You may be able to find something that helps. Don’t give up, FAR is a tough section and I had to take lots of notes, watch Roger’s lecture multiple times and did lots of practice MCQs and SIMs. You will do great.

    @GetThisCPA94 I took the test on August 30th.

    @MJ44
    I think I may have commented on a thread you started. This was my third attempt at BEC. I don't know who started the rumor that BEC is the easiest because it sure as heck was not for me…LOL. The first two exams were maaaaadd.
    MCQs weren't bad but the SIMS were long as heck and didn't have enough time to finish. Only finished one of the WCs.

    Aside from my major test anxiety, this time around I think God heard my prayers (I had to pray and trust him to take the wheel). The MCQs again wasn't bad but the SIMs were mostly drop downs, not as long and not as bad. Plus one of the SIM was similar to an AICPA practice test. I only had 39 minutes for the WC so I spent the last 2 minutes on the third WC typing buzz words (or what I thought were buzz words). I made sure I reminded myself that 12 MCQs and 1 WC were not tested so I tried my hardest to not fall victim to wasting time, especially since some of the questions may not even count so my waste time. I flagged a ton of MCQs (I will say about half each testlet) and then went back to them after answering the ones I knew for sure. I also TRIED to not panic as bad this time. Ended up with a 78. Honestly, there is no way to really tell how great or not great you do on these tests. My State does not issue score summary if you pass so I will never know how well I did on the MCQs, SIMS and WC. Praying for positive news for you.

    To God be the glory. I passed BEC (thanks in part to the NINJA MCQ (thanks Jeff)). I am finally done with the exam. On to Ethics. I still feel like I am dreaming. For the first time in almost three years, I actually spent quality time with my kiddos and the hubby without worrying about studying/score releases. To those of you still on this hard journey, keep at it and you won’t be disappointed. If I can do it, you definitely can.

Thank you all that gave me such encouraging words (it truly helped more than you know). To those of you still on this journey, praying for success and great news for you all. This exam will really test your perseverance….it sure did test mine.

    I can officially say I am finally done. Thanks to Jeff and the folks on this forum for all the advice. It’s so welcoming and I am forever grateful. The NINJA MCQs I feel really helped me pass the AUD and BEC exams. @F Investopia was extremely helpful to me too (loved their short videos). And Accounting Tool website was a great help as well.

    @MJ44 your exam sounds similar to mine. The first two exams I took were horrible. Very long sims and the testlet one and two were Econ and cost accounting heavy. The third one was cost accounting and IT heavy and the sims weren’t that long. Mostly drop downs.

    The pee incident happened my first exam (which was FAR). it sucked. I did have a similar experience with BEC (minus the pee and I had 39 minutes for the WC). I ran out of time as well so 2 minutes before my time expired, I just started typing key words in. I did not finish the third WC and God had mercy on me and gave me a passing score and I am officially done. Don't worry (hard to do I know). Honestly this exams can go either way.

    One thing I will say is that it is not an easy exam. The only exam I had to take three times. Please hear me when I say do not underestimate it. Watch your time and give enough time to do the WC portion of the exam. Also, study everything like the last person said. There are a ton of different version of the exam that you really should just study everything. The first two times I took the exam were Econ and COSO heavy. The last one I just took was IT, COSO and cost accounting heavy. The first two exam SIMs were madddddd. This last one was not as bad.

    I am sorry your failed AUD. We all first think FAR is the most challenging because it is the largest exam of all four. But all the exams are challenging. Hell I had to take BEC three times. The thing that helped me with AUD was reading the questions the way it is asked and also answer the question the way I thought the examiner wanted the question answered. As Roger states during his lectures, you can get so suck in the question because it is so subjective (I fell in that trap my first exam). Try to read the question for what it is and answer it for what it is. NINJA did help tremendously because I was able to practice more with the MCQs. Flashcards didn't really help me. Watching the lectures, reading my notes and taking the MCQs (making sure I read the answers to each question before moving on to the next). MCQs helped me tremendously (always great practice). I did read the score report to get an idea of my weaker areas the first fail. But I still studied the second time like I never took the exam because you never know what question will be on the exam. The AICPA practice exam helped as well.

    Wow @Lfranc8. So sorry to read your story. As others have said, keep at it and don't be discourage (it is very easy to do I know). It will pay off. Have you thought about requesting an extension to your score credit? It doesn't hurt to ask, especially with your car accident. The least the board will say is no. Please don't give up. This exam process is very taxing to say the least. After 2 years, 6 months, 10 days and 8 exams (with a family of 4) I am finally done. Don't give up hope. Saying a prayer for you.

    Yup, same here. I remember looking at the actually exam to make sure I registered for the right exam that's how horrible it went for me. Thought for sure I failed and was even planning on retake strategy after my exam. But God had other plans. The only exam I didn't have to retake. You will do well.

    Hiya, there is actually no research question on the BEC exam. Only 4 TBS and 3 written communication. the research question is only on FAR, REG and AUD.

    Praying for you :-). Another advice that I think may help is that I watched a video about a year ago that Jeff posted. He said something about skipping certain topics/areas hoping it won't show up on the exam is a bad idea and to be honest with yourself and just hammer out those section and leave nothing untouched (helped me). It's too bad that Becker is not working for you. Have you tried Roger? I agree @LittleTimmy. I am currently studying with Roger and though I will admit that his material didn't help with Reg, it has helped me thus far with the other sections. Ninja is just an excellent supplement with BEC because Ninja's MCQs have different question scenarios. If you having issues with any section and need hlep grasping some concepts, I don't mind sharing some of Roger's tips.

    Best of luck.
