I can’t really speak to law side of this case. But looking at your salary at a numbers perspective and considering your 15 years experience along with the fact your are literally the face of the business, you seem to be underpaid. I think you have leverage if you threaten to walk away especially considering calendar year end is coming up and he apparently does very little work. But you have to be willing to back up your threats. Don’t know the legal ramifications of clients coming over or you reallly building out your own business, that’s probably where the lawyers comes in.

This unfortunately did happen to me once. What had happened was I printed out my NTS, then the great testing Blackout of 2017 happened. A new NTS and code was generated after my initial NTS. I was extremely fortunate to be able to look up the code and write it down in front of prometric staff on day of testing.

Guys, thank you for all your feedback. I am still figuring out what’s going on, but I reached the same conclusion all of you did. The value of the firm on the resume and the experience I would gain is invaluable. I have some confidence in my basic audit skills, so I figured any pay setbacks are temporary and would be offset by future raises(if I put the work in). Now whether I actually get an opportunity is another thing.

09/19/2018 – passed final part
09/20/2018 – application mailed to NYS
10/11/2018 – application sent to board
11/28/2018 – application approved by board
12/07/2018 – name on nys website
