I would recommend you reach out to your recruiter and let her know of the delays, if it doesn’t give a lot of personal information include a screenshot of the last message regarding the delays with the EAD and ask the question on whether you can move your start date due to these circumstances that are beyond your control.
I would also advise you reach out to the Partner or Director who interviewed you and let them know the challenges, also let them know you have communicated it to the recruiter.
Starts dates been pushed down for a multitude of reasons. Communicate early, and let your network (even though now very small) at the firm know what the circumstances are, and communicate your new preferred start date.
CPA_FocusedParticipantCalifornia scores out, passed AUD -76!
Now on to REG, to recover from my 72.
CPA_FocusedParticipantPlease retake AUD. Study everything over from scratch, you’re getting a new exam but re take AUD.
CPA_FocusedParticipantHi Everyone,
I’m back to the drawing board again after having two score expiring on me and getting a 72 in REG in November.
I had started studying for AUD by the time REG results came out so now waiting for the results with you all tonight.
Praying I’ve passed AUD, so I can continue on with REG. Prayers and luck welcomed!
CPA_FocusedParticipantThanks a lot @CH89! I think that’s great advice
CPA_FocusedParticipantThank you! This helps me, I am on the verge of losing BEC if I don't pass FAR and REG in Q1 2020, and it's hard. I feel like I've put all my limited resources of time and money into these exams and the thought of not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel gives me anxiety. I was super worried because I am testing for FAR soon and my trending score is not where I expect – I do have a manin course that I've done well in, but for my Ninja MCQ trending score, it's not over 70%. So spending the next few days focused on my weaker areas, doing the AICPA practice exam, and mock exams and seeing what happens. This process is hard, even over the holidays it was hard studying and not making as much time for family and friends, it was hard, spending all this time away from everyone and spending money on exams, and review courses. So thank you or taking time to share!

Thanks everyone!
December 17, 2019 at 10:15 pm in reply to: Worth going through the intermediate accounting text? #2848848CPA_FocusedParticipantYeah for sure I don't expect to use a college textbook to pass the exam, just as a supplement.
CPA_FocusedParticipant@F – It's getting better, like Recked said, just keep plugging along. When I wrote the post, the most frustrating part for me was putting all the effort into videos and note taking and getting my butt handed to me by MCQs was completely heart wrenching! However, now that I know that initially, this is somewhat normal I am have a better attitude about it.
Take a deep breath, a step back and keep plugging along, make sure you're understanding concepts.
CPA_FocusedParticipantThanks everyone! you all are so encouraging! Thank you for your responses! I feel motivated and encouraged to continue.
CPA_FocusedParticipantHonestly, cost accounting was hard for me too! The best way to grasp the concept is through multiple choice questions, and ot just doing them at random and reviewing the solution – but reviewing the solution and coming up with a step by step way to apply the concept. WACC was a trouble area for me until I used this method – I literally had to come up with the steps to arrive at the answer, understand the big picture then apply. This is a FRUSTRATING Process – but you can do it!
CPA_FocusedParticipantI am praying for a 75 for FAR but working towards a 99 – these exams have been so random for me I prefer not to underestimate certain topics, for me all other sections are doable – but maybe that's because I've done everything else BUT FAR. BEC is totally random, so I get that – best thing you can do is follow the blueprint and focus on concepts.
CPA_FocusedParticipantI still see PROGRESS, that is what's most important! KEEP SWIMMING. You literally have a whole team on here rallying behind you! YOU CAN DO IT! WE CAN DO IT!
CPA_FocusedParticipantAny tips for taking FAR and AUD at the same time? I too am travelling for the exams and going to retake AUD as it expired and FAR early January
