iwana_PASS, when I took FAR I thought I failed too cause most of the questions were on GOV/NFP, and IFRS, some times when you think you failed is when you really pass. Just worry about passing FAR for now, you might be pleasantly surprised in about a month. I always thought I was smart too and then FAR came along. I guess we all need to experience failures cause in the end, they make you more humble.

BEC-GutiParticipantIf you are having problems with GOV,NFP, and IFRS, you should get the hot spot videos from Bisk CPA. I was having problems understanding Gov/NFP using Becker, and in less than 3 days,I understood everything with these videos. Gov video is 3 hrs, and NFP 1 hr and 45 minutes. You might find them on Ebay. You also have to do as many SIMS as you can. I went from a 71 to 84 on my third try doing SIMS and the above.

BEC-GutiParticipantHave you passed any other parts>? I think it might be a good idea for you to see actual tax returns for Corps and Partnerships etc. It helped me a lot, the first time I passed REG long time ago.

This will put more pressure on Accountants to become CPAs just to fight for a job.

BEC-GutiParticipantiwana_PASS, just by having a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, you are already smarter than 70% of residents in your home state,so dont be so hard on yourself. It took me close to 7 months to just pass FAR with an 84%,so you might be smarter than me too.

BEC-GutiParticipantDunkinDonutsJunkie, rocky is a she, I remember her from the boyfriend does not understand thread.
Rocky, if this is your second time, you have a great chance of passing. Work on as many simulations as you can if you are already getting 80s on the MC questions cumulative tests. What was your first score on FAR?

BEC-GutiParticipantraymondsfamily, since their mc software is fairly new, it has many glitches. At the end of each chapter, I would do the first 50 MC questions (max you can do), and then when I tried to do the next 50 questions, I would get many repeats. I sent an email regarding this issue, but they say that they are working on making it more user friendly. I think they should have waited until it was almost perfect to launch it. Since they used to work with WTB,I ended up buying WTB, and although there are parts on wiley that Roger has not covered in detail, I was able to get from 75 to 80 per chapter on my first try.
After going over Becker twice, how do you like Roger in comparison? Do you think he teaches a lot beter than Becker? Have you noticed that there are a lot of stuff that Roger does not cover in comparison to Becker? I have Becker, but I'm going over Roger first as I think they are better at teaching Audit.

BEC-GutiParticipantI have a quick question for all the individuals who are using Roger CPA for Audit. Im on chapter 2 right now, and since Roger's MC questions are too easy, Im also using Wiley. The problem is that a lot of question on WTC are from material that Roger did not covered on his lectures or book. I thought Roger's lectures covered most of the material from WTB since they used to work together. What are you guys doing when you come across this problem? Should we ignored the questions he does not cover, and worry about the stuff he teaches? Im afraid that I might get a lot of questions on the stuff he does not cover when the exam comes about.
