    Loans only increase the basis for partnerships. S-Corps have 2 different kinds of basis. Stock basis and Shareholder Loan Basis. Therefore the only basis that would be considered for a loan, is the amount that the shareholder personally lends the company. In this case, this would increase the loan basis. All other loans do not increase the basis.

    Thank you! That sucks. I didn’t realize each state was different when it came to releasing the scores. I’m taking BEC next. I am currently a tax manager at a firm, and have been doing tax for a long time. I want to save that for last.

    I took roughly 8 practice exams before my test. The lowest score was a 56 and the highest was a 72. I made an 81 on the exam. Add 10 points to your practice exam, and that will give you a more accurate representation of where you're at.

    Thank you for all of the encouragement. I just got my exam score back, and I made an 81! They have to curve the test or something.
