LilyParticipant
Just to follow up on this thread, I am here to tell you that I am done. After two years of study and many things happening in my life (a job, two kids, a house' refurbishment, my daughter's hospitalization, a car accident, and etc.), I am finally done. I took the exams 11 times.

Buy a new notebook or markers. Put fresh flowers or a candle on the desk. Just find the way to open de book on the first page once again. You will be on the finish line sooner than later. To all of you that have failed multiple times, my respects. You can do this. Go for it!
LilyParticipantNobody cares about us. We are alone on this journey. They just said it is “due to a delay in processing”, no apologies, they don't care.
LilyParticipantI didn't wait for the email. Call this phone number 1-800-936-2433 Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, be prepared for a long hold. They will reschedule your test immediately. I was on hold for 4.5 hours.
LilyParticipantYou said it. It just to add more stress to candidates. I had the same issue last year during Hurricane Dorian. They closed for 4 or 5 days knowing that Miami🌀 weren't in the forecast path of Hurricane Dorian and didn't expect to see tropical storm conditions.
It is the same test center that was closed today, without explanations. I have learned the lesson that's why I rescheduled it in Forlauderdale, 45 miles away.LilyParticipantThank you for your comments. They picked up the phone after 4.5 hours. I rescheduled for June 10th.
For others with the same problem, the phone number is 1-800-936-2433 be prepared for a long hold but it works.LilyParticipantIt is my last exam too.I am in Miami, Florida. This is so frustrating. I will do that, I am still on hold on the phone 4h already. Thanks!
LilyParticipantHello everyone,
Prometric has canceled my appointment one hour before the exam today.
I have tried to contact them by phone but it has been impossible nobody answer (1-800-936-2433).
I would like to reschedule as soon as possible, before the 10th.
I cannot reschedule by myself because my appointment still scheduled.
What should I do?
Thank you! Here is the cancellation email

LilyParticipantOh yes, I answered for individuals.

LilyParticipantsorry, boot received is the sum of debt relief 60, 000 + cash 12,000 ( I forgot the cash) = 72,000
New basis = 65,000
LilyParticipantHello,
first, calculate what you received cash 12,000
+ FMV property 65,000
less the debt 52,000
_________________________________________________
you got 25,000less BV of your property 70,000
plus relief of debt 60, 000
________________________________________________
realized gain 15,000Recognized gain is the lesser of Realized gain 15, 000 or boot received 60, 000 (debt relief in this case) = 15,000
New basis = BV given+Gain recognize + boot paid or liability received-Boot received or liability paid
= 70,000+15,000+52,000-60,000=77,000Hope this helps.
LilyParticipantFollowing this post since I am on the same boat.
