Unfortunately now there's only uh like a week in Q3 so I'm not even going to try studying. So I just have to re-take my most recent fail and then I'm hopefully done!

This has worked fairly well for me so far. I'm actually about to go solo as my own tax firm (Cpa firm once I pass this last GD section!) next month.
I charge $500 minimum for a super simple 1040.
Most my clients hit the $1,000 ish range.I do as much consulting, CFO, value add type work as possible.
Oh- and this is my third year working in tax. So going solo a little early. I'm scared S&*****less but life's too short to live in a cubicle.

I replied and said I'm trying to schedule re-takes is there any general timeline for this process? And she just said “once all scores are out they will begin deciding”
Krstnam. I'm not sure if there's a way to PM on here? I couldn't find it. But if you want to connect keep in touch about all this let me know!

FAR- Scheduled 8/1/2016NatalieroseParticipantI decided that since they haven't issued extensons yet I'll keep cramming for REG (the one that may or may not drop off depending on extension)
I booked in portland on the 8th for REG and 10th for FAR (yep nothing in the whole WA state)uh….if you want to test on the 8th I guess you could ride with me as long as you're not a murderer.
I figure if they grant an extension on REG- I'll cancel that test and still take FAR even tho I hadn't studied just for more exposure to the new version of the exam (then plan to actually take it in November)
If no extension- I'll try for REG on Sept 8th and move FAR out to November

I sent my stuff directly to Washington state. They said Shamika is who is handling all decisions.
She just told you that the state was who was making all decisions?
It sounds like we're getting the run around.

They are sending it to a 3rd party after they receive it.
Her name is Shamika 615-880-4254.
So you email to Charles who's the head of the board for WA state, then he sends it on to her. They did mention that they're basically waiting for BEC score releases too so it may be another few days before they even address it.

The Wa State board when I called told me to contact NASBA too.
When I called NASBA they told me to email that specific email listed above, with those specific questions answered.Just send your email to that person.
I emailed him and he immediately responded with
“Natalie,
Thank you for your e-mail. I will evaluate and respond to your request as soon as possible.
Regards,”

Washington State is requiring you to submit an email with the following to the following person:
1. Your name, email, phone number
2. A schedule of when you sat for previous exams and scores you received
3. Why you weren't able to pass in 18 months
4. Any other applicable notes (if you were sick, a hospital note, ect)Email to: charless@cpaboard.wa.gov
Hope this helps! I'm still waiting to hear about mine 🙁

FAR- Scheduled 8/1/2016NatalieroseParticipantI'm waiting to hear if WA state will grant my extension. I had to send them an email explaining why I couldn't pass in 18 months. It doesn't seem super fair that some states are granting blanket extensions.
It sucks waiting because I'm not sure which exam to be studying for to try to attempt Q2.
