I think I already sent the criminal disclosure form with my initial application. My transcripts were all sent through the foreign transcript evaluation process at the beginning of this, when i applied to sit the exams so hopefully they aren't doing that again. I guess I'll find out soon enough- i'll let you know here first!

    2/22 Ethics completed
    2/28 Application submitted
    2/28 Experience submitted with application
    3/9 $250 check cashed
    3/10 Finger print email received
    3/11 Fingerprint scan completed

On the fingerprint email i just received a blank email with the attachment. I got my scan at UPS and then just sent back the completed form (with UPS stamp etc.) as a reply to the email. Is this what everyone else did? And now i'm just waiting for the licence number, or is there another step?

Thanks for your response! The basic view is not great, but I had already signed up for that and found it to be ineffective for what I need. I hadn't thought of a library, I'll check that and see if anything turns up.
I think the Big4 articles are my best bet, it just seems crazy that consulting the authoritative literature is basically impossible without paying through the nose- aw well!

Just to clarify- i'd like the PDF if possible, to do the research, not just the list of the codes, Apologies if codification is the wrong term!

    Hi,

I've recently moved to the U.S. and was in a similar position to you. I started my first position last week (albeit in California) so should be able to assist given I've just finished the hiring process. I've sent you an email and i can give you some resume tips and edits.

You can see from my Signature that i'm also in the “dreaded 74” club. I re-took in Jan after getting results in December- this is the best course of action for you! First of all don't be down on yourself, statistically speaking you passed the exam, you are one MCQ question away from passing, you know the material, don't get dishearted!

I agree with “CPA Hunter” above, start FAR, then take two-three weeks to look at AUD with fresh eyes- just smash MCQs and sims and supplement other sources than you used before. Then back to FAR!

FAR is the beast, get that done and it's easy street afterwards. BEC is nothing compared to FAR, taking FAR first will give you an extra window to attempt it if you fail, this is the best course of action.

    Hi Jd,

Yup CA is weird – took me a while but the below is what you do
Log-in to the CBA website and click on the “Create Application” tab, click “repeat” and request new remittance form. Print it, Sign and write them a cheque for $50 and that'll let you choose your exams again.

They'll then let you tick the exam you want and then after that they send you an NTS… Once you get that on the CBA website you can schedule with Prometric.

    Good Luck!

Huh! I wrote a large response to this this morning and it posted but appears to have disappeared now… maybe for being unkind to Recruiters?
I'm not re-writing it so here is the TL;DR

Referrals! Get referred to the company instead of just applying; leverage yours or someone elses LinkedIn connections. Submitting Resumes is a waste of time.

I also asked to where you are moving, and if you're looking for a role in Industry, Practice, Big4 etc. as all this info will help people to help you.

I Re-read, if there is no further action and you're not prohibited from taking more exams then ignore it. Don't poke the bear! Just carry on studying and get a 75, that's the best revenge!

So, just to clarify you didn't leave your seat for the 4 hours? If you didn't sign in/out then there should be no issue. Send an email to this respect and ask for any evidence they think they have. It seems like if you didn't leave the computer and obviously didn't have your phone in your pocket this is an open and shut case?

I mean the exams suck… but I took my last one on Wednesday (I hope) and the difference in Everything! is amazing! Seriously you probably just hate the exams and once they're done you will stop hating everything in the world…
Best of luck and don't lose heart!
