Wow! I did the very same thing when I would sit down for any of the tests. I just felt better if I sat down and wrote it all out for my reference. For me, it was a feeling of “I don't have to remember it anymore if I write it down I know I will have it right here” kind of a feeling. I never let the timer get that close but it never dawned on me that it would result in a test that cannot be taken from that point on.

I would hope you could contact NASBA about taking it again in this window. Maybe have to pay for another test but that would be worth not having to wait til next window. You probably saved someone who is reading this too, if that makes you feel any better. I'm so sorry that happened to you.

@sheilaTX, her audit final review is the best. I scored my worst score on any test in audit and then did her class and then the final review and scored my best score and last test on audit. She is really the reason I was able to pass them all. She is the best! I'd say if you can get to Dallas, then do it. It's worth the investment, believe me!

What state are you in? I'd say probably not. You can do both parts. Just think you have passed one and really you came within one point of the other. You get the material so you can totally pass both by 10/29.

Same happened to me Radez. I had a huge guy across from me and kept moving the cube when he would put his arms on the desk and when he was typing. It was so distracting. I did fail that test and from then on out i request spots that faced a wall only.

I agree with all of this! But the one good thing is when a CPA or a CPA candidate is asking because they don't (usually) ask the super silly ones. They have an understanding….But I hear you!

Agree! I would not have passed if it weren't for Liliana Hickman-Riggs! I owe it all to her! If you can get to her final review classes at the very least it can be a tremendous help.

Don't get down. You can do this! I am just chiming in to say that I agree with you about not moving on. I felt like I tried it both ways and it worked best for me if I stuck to the section until I passed it. It doesn't work for everyone of course, but for me it kept me focused on the one section and forever in review mode until I passed. FAR is a beast. I really do not know if I could pass that one again. I barely passed with a 75 as is. It was the first one I passed and I was so thankful for that. There is so much to cover. They are all hard for different reasons, but my becker professor once said…FAR is the hardest to study for but easiest to pass. Meaning you have to just about know everything but it cannot all be tested, so hopefully what you get on the test is what you know.

    Good luck to you.

I completely agree with you! Sims are where I learned the most about applying the concepts. MC are helpful in getting used to how the questions are asked.

The flashcards were not helpful at all. Some would be so full of info, it's like you are not making this easier to recall these facts.
