Thanks Recked! Should I call before Tuesday? Since the woman said to call in a few days and I have a feeling she can remember me, would it hurt me if I do call today or tomorrow?
Does anyone know how long it takes to review and process 1 application? I had 2 people before me and they got processed in 1 day. Called today to ask to see what day they are on yesterday and they said they are on 5/8 but it’s already past my application date. And I asked what my status was and was told that it is still under review as of yesterday. And to call back Tuesday… is that normal?? Does it take 4 days to look at just one application??!
On 5/7/2018 as of now
I called in earlier today, they are on 4/30
Processing 4/30/18 as of now
Anyone call in today?
As of Friday 3:23, they are processing 4/25/18!
Far or Reg… reg updates in q3 I believe so if you have memory of tax law it might be a good one to knock out first.
Thanks for the advise, have done so accordingly! 🙂
A tip from my experience would be, it’s not the quantity of hours but more importantly the quality you put in each hour. I was lucky enough for my apartment complex to have a public conference room where it was quite most of the time. I spent weekdays from 8pm-1am M-F and most of my weekends. I passed 3 sections in 5 months that way while doing my full time job. It’s doable if you are committed.

Thanks for the advise guys, ideas taken and will do.
Any ideas guys?
Thank you all! I will get in touch with state and ask… let's see what they say.
@bourne from my research it is ok to get experience from another state, also it is ok to have experience signed off by a non NY cpa. The rule is it just us to be a US CPA.
Thank you for the advise, something to look into then!
I should check MA rules since this person has MA cpa and I work in MA. Maybe this person is thinking of MA rules rather than NY…
@kay Yes, NY qualifies bookkeeping as experience. Thanks for the responses guys! That's what I thought that it should qualify!! I don't get what is going on here. I guess I should show the form? Should I call NY board and ask if this qualifies as the experience? I do t understand why they would hesitate to sign off, even if this experience gets rejected I don't understand how this can put the person that signed off on the experience in a bad spot?
Just like any cpa exam detail is key. Take your time reading the question as a simple detail with in the question can make a seemingly right answer wrong. Nothing to worry about just read each question caryfully.
Thank you so much, this was very helpful! 🙂
I thought it was totally worth it because it has nice summary of the must know topics, started passing 3 for 3 after getting it.
Also the fact that I will get my CPA through them, would that hurt my chances of a raise since they are doing it for me?
Thanks for a great suggestion! As a follow up are there any tips you can share on how to ask for a raise since I have not done this before and I think google is not the best resource?
Edit to the prior post- the investor is from Hong Kong and I know that will make a difference regulation wise.September 26, 2017 at 4:18 pm in reply to: Hey Becker Users: Becker Final Review Audit OR Ninja MCQ Audit #1639141
Thanks for the replies everyone, great wealth of information here! The foreign investor would be from China. Looking to invest into some rental properties in USA. Would a C-corp or LLC would be more appropriate? His share would be over 25% as he would be the majority stakeholder.
All set, thank you Jeff!! 🙂
I can't get the signature working either… I get the error message just like others…. please help Jeff!
This thread is a classic example of why I don't get why people say that accountants do not have a sense of humor??!! I'm laughing at every comment made 🙂
