    Hi Solid,
Thanks for your feedback. You r right, that one size does not fit all (I thought it did). I also agree with you, that all I can do is to prepare my best but the day of exam is a draw. I will not delay the exam too long. My plan is to sit again in April 2019. By then, I should have gone through all of Gleim and the Yaeger lectures. I have been working with the Yaeger lectures only since a couple days, but they seem really thorough. I am not sure about their TBS yet. If I feel that I am still not confident with TBS after Gleim and Yaeger, I will look into Becker. Thanks. Utpal

    Hi YouCanDoIt,
Thanks for your feedback. Basically, until now, I was studying for FAR with Gleim only. I would read the material and then attempt to do the quizzes and TBS. But, it seems that when I read the material, I understand very well, but when I start applying it to MCQs and such, I kept getting them wrong. To be very honest, I cannot say I prepared at all the first 2 times with FAR. The biggest mistake I made was scheduling the exam ahead of time and then completely running out of time. So, this time, I will not apply or schedule the exam until I feel ready to sit in the exam withing 6 months.
I have also incorporated Yaeger in my study. I do like their old school course approach where they have the book open on one side and the lecturer talking about it on the other side. Its just like class room.
However, both Wiley & Yaeger do not Gleim's well structured organized approach. So, I am planning to stick with Gleim as a primary review course and supplement with Yaeger lectures and such.
Currently, I am taking Gleim's each sub unit (total 140) one at a time. After reading and taking notes, I do all the MCQs pertaining to that subunit while taking notes for incorrect questions. I also make it a point to take notes and listen to at least 3 Yaeger lectures per day. On top of that, I create a study session in Gleim of 50 questions daily for all the material I have done to keep that steady stream of revision.
Is there anything I can do different than above or add to it? I will definitely try the suggested lectures on YouTube. Again, thanks for your feedback.

I am wondering if anyone can help me. I failed FAR twice with 37 each time. I have been out of school since 10 years. Even then, my major was MBA with Accounting Specialization. I am currently using Gleim, but I am finding the question too tough. I also feel that because I have been out of school so long, I no longer have the base understanding of the material. No matter which review course I take, they all cannot replace detailed learning of the material.
So, does anyone have recommendations on what I can do to increase my competency in FAR and ultimately my score. I have passed BEC, REG, and AUD at least once which makes me feel that I am competent to be a CPA.
Should I go back to school and attend classes for Intro, Intermediate, and Advance Financial Accounting or should I just buy the books and study them? Please let me know. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Guys,
Thank you soooo much for your kind comments and feedback. I will definitely post the 3 reasons why I want to become CPA in my workspace at home. I believe, that will be very inspiring on a daily basis. I will definitely not give up. I was looking for some moral support today from the CPA community and I received it. I cannot thank you all enough for that. Now, everytime, I feel even a little defeated, I will open up this page and read your wonderful comments. After starting this post, I was feeling a little guilty that I am bring negativity on the forum, but right now, I am glad that I started this post, because, it helped me so much, and it also help someone else who may be having the same feelings as me. Again, Thanks everyone!!!

Thanks. Its good to know that there are others that have been where I am. You are right. Maybe I feel this way, because, I am not the least bit prepared for my FAR exam on Mar 9, 2018, and I have done a bad job in scheduling it without allowing enough time for preparation.

Thanks for your reply, but where I work, there are no CPAs. It's a public global transportation company. We have a finance controller, but he is not a CPA. And yes, regardless of how I feel, I am going to continue trying until I pass. Quitting is not even an option. I was just wondering if anyone else ever felt that way, that's all.

    Sona,
Thanks for the response. Its reassuring to know that there are others in the same predicament. I will redeem my NTS and take the exam as scheduled on Mar 8, 2018. Gleim is a great choice, but just a word of caution; make sure you have enough time to work with it. It over prepares and is extremely comprehensive, but it also requires a great deal of time. Currently, I do not have enough time to go through Gleim in 42 days. So, I have decided to use the NINJA Sniper for FAR. I am currently reading the book and taking notes as recommended. At least, this way, I will have gone through FAR and be able to at least understand the questions when I sit for my exam on Mar 8. Afterwards, I will definitely continue using NINJA and will also finish Gleim.

    Hi Everyone,
I am taking my FAR on Mar 8, 2018. I would like to make a suggestion to everyone planning to take FAR. Please always make sure that you schedule your exam so that you have at least 3 months to prepare especially if you are like me; I passed my MBA/ACC in 2008, and I have not been exposed to FAR in job at all. Now, I only have 43 days counting today and do not know how to proceed. I have bought Gleim Review which is awesome. I passed REG & BEC with Gleim, but it is much to extensive to be able to finish in 40 days. I have also purchased NINJA FAR (Book, Audio, and Notes). So, now, I will be working with NINJA, because that is more to the point than Gleim.
However, I am open to suggestions for a strategy as to how I can finish the review course enough to be able to walk into the exam center feeling at least comfortable with the material. I even considered letting the NTS expire and reapply.
One would question how I scheduled myself into such a bad timing, all I can say is that it was bad planning on my part. Also, my BEC credit expires on April 30, 2018.
I really do not know what to do.
