NINJA CPA Review

Hey A71-ers! My name is Mark. I graduated with my Accounting degree back in 2006. Then I stuck around for a year taking Finance courses to pick the 150 hours. I called it the victory lap, but really I just wasn’t ready to leave college. After dragging my feet for several years, I started sitting for the exam in August 2011. My office provided the a self-study program, which followed the path of FAR, AUD, REG then BEC. I’m not really sure if there is a “good” order to take them in, but that’s the way the course was lined out. First up was FAR. After about 2 months of what I thought was solid studying, I scored a 68. Failing destroyed what little confidence I had. I was embarrassed and felt like I let everyone around me down. I knew it was nothing to feel bad about, but

Nineteen days… no not nineteen days until the tax deadline arrives but nineteen days until I can crack back open the study materials. I find it kind of funny and sad that I am looking forward to this but it is what it is. I have decided that I am going to go with BEC, which for those of you who remember my story is not my friend! Embarrassingly I will admit that I have failed BEC five times, each time being in the 70s and two of which were a 74. I am determined to pass BEC during May no matter what. This is it for me, do or die really as my clock is ticking away ever so quickly. I have until January 2013 to pass three parts. I know 2013 sounds far away but being a “seasoned” candidate and losing a section, I know the time

What’s up NINJAs! My name is Joe; I am 28yrs old, married to an incredibly supportive woman, Father to an amazing two month old boy (who by the way, doesn’t care about the CPA test) and finally a Future CPA. I am just a NINJA newbie, starting my CPA Journey on February 27th of this year. My first test is April 7th, and I WILL (hopefully) be passing BEC (yah you know me!). My goal for this blog is to bring accountability and humor in my studying as well as giving anyone who reads this comfort that someone may actually be worse off than you! With this being my first experience, I have the opportunity of giving you a live look at how I am approaching each section of the CPA. My study materials include review course books and videos along with the NINJA notes and Wiley MCQs. I

I have decided that 2012 is my year to pass the CPA Exam! Let me introduce myself by telling all of you my very sad and embarrassingly long journey with the CPA Exam so far: This is scary and sad to write.  I started my journey by receiving my first NTS in September 2006. I proceeded to take AUD and BEC in the last window of 2006, however I failed both due to my own lack of studying. I took both again in the 2nd window of 2007, but failed and took a break.  I got serious and took both again in the 2nd window of 2008 and passed both.  Took FAR and REG on and off from 3rd window of 2008 until last window of 2009, failures, and lost AUD and BEC. I got serious again and passed AUD, BEC and REG again between 1st-3rd windows of 2010.  At that point
