NINJA CPA Review

Hi everyone! I am almost two weeks into my studying for REG now. I am just about finished with chapter three and now reviewing everything I went through last week. I am really trying to make the ELL Plan work, but it is so difficult for me to get out of bed in the morning. This busy season has been kind of brutal and I think I just needed to sleep in this weekend to catch up on missed sleep. Hopefully that will put me in a better spot for this week. Does anyone realize that the topics you struggle with the most are the hardest to study for? I just find that I don’t try as hard because I have a difficult time understanding the information.   Bonds, Leases, Deferred Taxes, Bonds, Leases, Deferred Taxes!! Pretty sure I have been having nightmares about those 3 topics for the past week. This past week I have put the FAR NINJA Audio on my iPhone and put all the Ninja Audio into a playlist and played it over and over about 6 hours per day every day at work. I am thankful that in my job I am not up and moving, I am able to play it and just sit there. Obviously, I am working and not able to focus on the audio 6 hours/day but every now and then I catch little things Jeff says and think to myself, “Oh didn’t know that before.” I have had audio for a different review course before and it was so boring I couldn’t even have it playing in the background for more than an hour, I wanted to

Hey CPA enthusiasts! I am still studying like it’s my second job, and I am waaaaaaaay more motivated this week than I was last week. This week I worked through all 159 MCQ’s in the Wiley test bank for individual tax, specifically, and took notes on questions that I want to review again. I also read the NINJA Notes and rewrote them. As I was rewriting the Ninja Notes, I tried to absorb the information by concentrating and visualizing what I was writing to better understand this material. The notes are so awesome! Not only do they provide you with a detailed outline of each topic, but the introduction to the notes tells you that you need to revisit these notes five times before the exam. In trying to maintain a study schedule, it’s nice to know that the Ninja notes tell you that you need to review the

Sunday, April 1, was no joke for me. The calendar flipped over and there it was staring me in the face: Tuesday, April 17, which marks the day tax season is over and 9 months of studying and exams start. A few weeks before this, I laid out a calendar from now until the 2nd week of January. I set out a week for family vacation in August and a week in October for a hunting trip. And some “fluff” in there for other unforeseen occurrences. I thought I was making a great start to the transition back into exams. On that April fool’s day I realized I had been fooling myself for the last week. I had already started out on a bad foot in the planning stage by being overly-optimistic and not very honest with myself. First, my plan was to start studying for REG, my strongest
