NINJA CPA Review
Ashley is a weekly NINJA CPA Blogger. Hi everyone! I had a mini meltdown this weekend while I was working on Wiley MCQs. LOL. I was tired and kind of frustrated and all I kept thinking was, why oh why I didnt listen to everyone that encouraged me to sit for the CPA after graduation? I guess we live and we learn, usually the hard way. I graduated from The Fort Valley State University (Go Wildcats!), and it will be 5 years ago May 5th. So getting back in the groove of studying has been difficult. Not to mention, I remember learning a lot of this information in my undergraduate accounting courses, but over time the concepts begin to seem foreign. If anyone is reading this that will be graduating soon, PLEASE, PLEASE sit for this exam as soon as you become eligible! Sit while the information is still fresh!
Hey Ninjas! Hope your studying is going well and things are starting to click in your head. Being that its my third time sitting for FAR, my studying has hit the proverbial wall. I get to a topic and think to myself, I remember that, I should be good. Instead I should really focus on what it is I can improve to make sure I am not studying for FAR ever again. So what I have started to do is to test myself. Say for instance I think I know bonds. I will do every bond question I can and keep track of which concepts give me trouble. Hi everyone!!! Exam day is getting closer, REG on 4/29 I have spent the last week working Wiley MCQs. My personal goal is 100-150 MCQs per day. In addition to that, I have been listening to NINJA Audio and reading my notes during the day. Monday through Thursday, I am going for 3 to 4 hours, Saturdays 6 and Sunday 4. I have now mastered approximately 70% of the material, 30% more to go. My problem or main issues are with all the details that this exam has. My scores on MCQs are so unpredictable from low 70s thru mid 80s :/. Thankfully, I have a little more than a week to go. This week I wanted to show you the 2 artists that I have on my iPhone: Adele and Jeffrey Elliott. LOL. You can tell that I am not into music, or I might have being studying
Ben is a weekly NINJA CPA Blogger. This last week I HiYaed one of my fellow classmates in the hall with an air karate chop, and besides having a good time seeing their reaction it reminded me that I need to continue to study hard for the CPA. This idea of endurance and motivation is the main thing that has been on my mind lately. (Not to mention I had a weird dream where I was teaching one of my nephews about discounting cash flows but that is a topic for another time!) I read something Jeff had written about motivation, and although I cant remember where it was, it was so good that I am integrating it in my life. He said to write, literally write, down your 3 reasons for why you are going for your CPA. Then, whenever you get tired you can refer back to those reasons
