Move on to REG? Or stay with BEC

So I recently took BEC for the second time (June 7). I took it for the first time in November during grad school and got a 70. I didn’t look at B5 and barely skimmed B6 before the first exam so I was confident that when I studied the material in full and took it in June after school I would pass. However, after leaving the exam the other day I felt awful about it. It felt like it was a totally different exam from the first time I took it. I couldn’t finish the 3rd WC within the time limit. ( I tried rushing the conclusion “please contact me if…blah blah and spelt STRATEGY wrong, tried to fixed it but time expired).

My question is should I just move on and start to study REG? I felt like I was close BEC but wont be able to reschedule until July. This whole CPA thing is no joke and way more stressful than I thought. Feeling discouraged and hope I can get some advice from you guys.

Yes, try to give REG a shot. I also failed my first two exam attempts on BEC. I moved to REG and failed that once. Retook it and passed. Then retook BEC and also passed. How many MCQ's did you complete for each attempt?

    The exam is no joke!

I started REG yesterday. I feel like I have too much time to keep studying BEC right now and want to move on. I have cost accounting drilled into my head and most of the financial ratios, I don't think I'll forget much going back and restudying them. I just got hit with a bunch of COSO questions out of left field and was too cocky with my COSO ability going into the exam since I did so well on most of the Becker MC questions.

Good Choice. It's better to learn REG now than later. It takes 3-5 weeks to learn BEC but 1000+ months to learn REG.

    CPA (2017)

    REG:  75

    BEC:  76

    FAR:  77

    AUD: 78

    CMA (2019)

    P1: 380

    P2: 360

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

I'm in the same boat. I just took BEC last Monday, and I feel really iffy about how I did. I've decided to just go ahead with REG until my BEC score comes in. If I wind up getting a failing score, I'll probably put REG down and get back to BEC. I don't want to risk forgetting what I already know.

    FAR - 74 (7/20/15), 81 (10/12/15)
    AUD - 72 (11/30/15), 81 (1/18/16)
    BEC - 87 (6/6/16)
    REG - 8/8/16
