Anyone else failed cause of the sims? I just got my scorecard back and I am “stronger” in 4 areas, “comparable” in 2, and “weaker” for sims. Just venting cause I don’t feel like the instructions are as clear as they think they are and the types of sims they throw out there are pretty unreasonable sometimes. I guess if I had finished all my Ninja sims I would have had a chance. :/ Oh well.

I was in the same boat as you coming out of the exam. I thought the SIMS were my undoing and not because I didn't understand them, per se. The instructions for at least two of them were just incredibly ambiguous. I ended up with Stronger in them, though, so I guess I made the correct educated guess on how they wanted the answers. It shouldn't come down to that though. I spent a solid 20 minutes in the AL trying to determine the proper way to read their instructions!

I got the exact same thing. I also got the dreaded 74. Uggggh. If I had only got one more MCQ or even slightly below average on Sims. I'm not sure how below average but is must have been dreadful.

Lucky that I did practice all ninja Sims as there is one particular Sims in Ninja mirror my actual exam.

＠Megatron and juuustin, since you guys passed FAR, should I practice alot of Sims like I did on REG?

I always practiced the SIMS and I used the AL for every question on each test. It helped tremendously. It is true that the better you know the material for the MCQ, the better you will do on the SIMS, but it also helps to look at the formatting of the SIMS and know what you're getting into a little bit. It always gave me a nice break from doing MCQ after MCQ after MCQ.

OP: To answer your question, yes, lots of people fail solely due to SIMS. It's 40% of your grade and knowing concepts and formulas and whatnot for MCQ is important, but being able to apply that knowledge in a SIM is important as well. If you see a crazy off the wall SIM, use the AL definitely. You can find word for word answers there sometimes versus spinning your wheels trying to guess answers.

Exact same thing here. I used the AL for the SIMS, but like someone pointed out in another thread, the IRC might as well be written in Greek because it did not help me. This time around I am doing all the SIMS I can just to get exposure. You'll get it in Q2!

@Mika I used Becker for all my passes. I remember when I passed FAR I thought I failed because of the sims, but was super surprised when I got the 77. Yes I would have done more sims if I had known. Unfortunately FAR is so much information you could get anything I was hoping to avoid a stocks sim.
