    NINJA Question –

Wow, is all I can say. I’m starting to do a review of all of my prior sections (take the FAR exam on 8/31), and the NINJA MCQ from the prior sections I reviewed, have shown me just how poorly I will do on this exam. Of course I am being facetious, in that the true problem lies with me, and certainly not the MCQ. I knew I had forgotten quite a bit of this from 6/1 when I began, but OMG am I screwed, unless I can DRAMATICALLY do better on these things between now and then.

I am guessing since these are past AICPA questions, these are the types of question I can expect on the exam? I am using CPAexcel, and many of them are just as detailed, and I am only averaging 40-50% on my first pass through. So far, after supposedly “reviewing” all of my prior sections, I am still around that lousy percentage. I guess I’m venting now, but I sure am feeling despondent tonight!!!

What do they call an accounting person, who only managed a 75 on all four parts of the CPA exam....you got it, CPA!!!

The good news is that you have a month to lock it down…just work hard and you'll be fine. You need to be hitting in the 80s for your Trending Score heading into your exam.

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

Your scores will go up. Just keep working the MCQ and taking notes on why you got it wrong. A lot of use start out in the 50s and 60s. I was trending at 100% going into the exam only a few weeks after scoring in the 50s and 60s on my first pass through. I just kept working the questions over and over until I felt like I understood why I was wrong/right with each choice. You're going to memorize some of the questions if you go through them enough times, but keep reading the explanations over and over and hopefully you'll memorize those as well. Good luck!

Thanks @Jeff, @Mamabear. I need the encouraging words. I really have been diligently keeping up with my lesson planner and doing the MCQ/SIMS in CPAexcel; however, as I am sure you all can attest to, it isn't real conducive to re-learning this stuff (been out of school 10+), to hit these topics this fast, and have to move on. I would have loved to have spent more time per section, but it just isn't possible. I sure hope I can get this in a month!
