Can somebody give me a hint? I heard about the horrible long hours that you need to work during busy season, typically Jan-Apr are tax season, but which months are busy seasons for big four workers?

(for tax accountant) If someone started in a mid-small size firm, how many years of experiences can make he/she jump into big for as a senior?

I was in alternative investments on the east coast at KPMG. Jan-Apr was mostly getting hr extension work and draft K-1s done. I was probably busier than your typical big 4 because our firm was very shortstaffed and I was on a very demanding client. I worked ~50-60 during Jan through Aprl, but summer busy season was unreal. I was averaging 70-80 (charge hours) a week with a lovely 100 charge hour the week the week of sept 15. Again, this is probably not typical. I was essentially running a hedge engagement and he private equity engagement myself.
