So I thought I’d start a thread about restudying BEC. I have started reading B1 (Becker) and am about half-way through. I have also been slacking off by listening to music and doing laundry. Hey, gotta take breaks, right? My poochie is resting her head on my lap, enjoying her nap. I think she’s grinding her teeth, lol. Must be nice to be a dog. Get to sleep all day, get loved, get treats,… Anyways, I will read B1 the rest of the week (I am a slow reader) and then do some practice problems by next weekend. I should be getting the Wiley BEC book by Friday. More practice = Better chance of passing.

@Givemesleep, what’s your study schedule like? Are you studying everything again? @Jokami, have you found out your score yet?

I thought BEC was easy until I got to B3… then I thought it was moderately difficult… then I got to B5 =( and now I hate everything ever.

It's more just tedious than difficult, all over the place and long problems.

I like to supplement my Becker with a physical book of questions to work with when I'm not around a computer, but I think BEC is going to be doable without that, I wouldn't worry too much about picking up Wiley unless you feel you need it.

I took the test on 01/23, so going by the score release schedule it will be on or after Feb. 22, so by next week I'll have my failing grade. 🙂

I'm sure you did fine. Remember that the WC will make up 15 points of your grade. By acing the WC you can really make up some ground that you may have lost on the MCQ. I think that's why people always seem to think they did worse than they actually did on BEC. Usually if you feel terrible about it, you'll come out with a passing score. Keep the faith!

Just have one more set of questions to do for B1. Love that studying for this is going by much faster than the first time around. And I'm really happy that I don't need to watch the lectures. Should be starting B2 on Saturday. Will post update then.

Got the Wiley book and have been reading about corporate governance. I did around 10 multiple choice questions and got most of them right so that's a good sign that I understand the material. I feel that Wiley has questions that are similar to what I saw on the exam. I think Becker has questions that are more simple, less wordy, and less confusing. That's just how I see it. The exam was trickier and I think Wiley is doing a good job of challenging me. Plan on being done with Corporate Governance tomorrow night. I have a little over 6 weeks left of studying so I think I'm on a good track right now. How is everyone else's studying going?

when I first read this thread I thought you were taking it at the end of feb. if you have 6 weeks you're doing awesome imo.

a tip i read on here is to write out the formulas nightly (or every other night). I did that for the last couple of days and i'm telling you that it helps. i can't believe how much i can forget in just 2 days.

good luck. i take my exam end of feb so i'll share how it went. my focus points… corp gov., it, financial mgt. i plan to review cost accounting/operational mgt a few days before exam time. not too worried about econ.

@ROACH, I am taking REG next weekend and am definitely not prepared because I am focusing on BEC. I made a formula sheet. I think I know the formulas pretty well. I am more concerned with the writing section. I did poorly on it the first time around because I ran out of time. Good luck on your exam. Let me know how it went.
