Thank you so much for the support you guys. I posted on this thread so that the website doesn't get bogged down. Overall, I still think I failed. 🙁

@mgoloubenko: I just read your post. Honestly, it sounds like you did great!!!!!!! I bet you that you passed 🙂 You gotta remember that these are graded on a curve and some questions (up to 18 I think can be pretest questions and don't count towards your grade). Le'ts hope those are the ones you felt iffy about! When I finished the first testlet, I felt just like you did. I thought it was so easy. But, boy of boy, testlet number two kicked my butt. The simulations were really hard. I was really upset because one of the simulations wasn't even really covered in Becker. I literally had no clue how to solve. I'm hoping that's the one that gets thrown out.

It looks like we both face BEC next. I'm taking mine May 31st..Are you going to keep using Becker? I think I'm going to use Becker and supplement with Wiley. Thank goodness BEC isn't 10 chapters long!!

Anyways, I just want to congratulate you now. I'm sure you did well 🙂 and now you know what to expect. Was timing an issue for you??

@ cyn637- It was just such a combination of everything, I feel okay about the MCQ specifically because I know my second testlet got harder and I still wasn't in a sheer panic so I'm like generally content with it. However, the simulations just rocked me and it was just a lot of what you had spoken about. I felt the time crunch in testlet 3 so I tried to do it as quickly as I could which probably led to more carelessness. And the funny thing is I knew about the SIMs because so many people talk about how impossible they are but I couldn't find any sufficient way to prepare for them. I had an hour and 24 minutes going into it and was only 100% sure about 2 of them 50% sure about two, and the rest were total guesses/let's fill in random numbers & JE's!

@Mg – You know you rocked it…you're just like me; you come out of the test thinkin you failed, but when you come back with that 92, we'll all know what's up 🙂 Keep your head down and focus on the next section. Don't worry about what you can't control anymore and push through!

I hope you're right but I think my chances aren't so good. I wish the SIMs were back to being worth 30% haha. You really are the best though 🙂

Yea, that's the thing though, Mg. I came out of FAR thinking I got ROCKED. Like no joke, I thought there was no chance I passed. Granted, I took it Aug 2010, so the sims were still 30%, but it's all the same thing. I spent all this time worrying about it and I got an 86. CPA exam is a total mind fu*k! It's so much easier said than done b/c I've been there, but you just gotta do your best to put it out of your head. Ah, you'll see what I mean when you get your score back. Try not to worry, I'm sure you did great 🙂 And I try to help out from time to time. A bit sarcastic most of the time, but I've taken a shine to you haha

Haha I just don't understand how these exams get graded but I've seen some crazy things happen on this forum from people scoring 40's to passing in the next window so I know anything is possible. Luckily, I've switched gears and started planning a graduation trip with my parents to Yosemite in May! And yes, I've seen your other posts 😉

You're going to Yosemite? That's awesome! It's so pretty there…I went there once when I was like 14. Try to stop by Lake Coeur D'alene in Idaho if you get the chance…it'll take your breath away. Sounds pretty suspect coming from a guy, but hey, it is what it is! You said you're starting with Big 4 right? Get ready for a big adjustment! You'll do well though.

Oooh, you've seen my other posts huh? Cat's out of the bag, I suppose, no more pretending I'm a nice guy! 😉

Yeah it'll be my first time. I travel a lot with my parents and since I'm in Cali now it's been a really great opportunity for us to get out and see this side of the coast. We did the coastal drive to San Fran a couple of weeks ago and if you've never done it, it's one of those things to do before you die! And I'm starting with EY in NYC in January. I interned with them summer of my junior year and I had a 6/30 year end client so I was in busy season as an intern hahaha just my luck. And no use pretending 🙂

Haha! I had one when I first went to college in '04 because it was “all the rage”, but I got rid of it out of rebellion! Lol I don't have like an official twitter, but I created a shell account so I could get my sports news as it comes across the wire! That's the extent of my social networking haha
