Has anyone ever heard of such an early time slot?

I’m attempting to reschedule my test, and for the location I picked it had Aug 29th-31st available, but the time slot says “3:00AM”.

The Prometric customer help line is closed right now.. if it’s really supposed to be PM I really want to book it. However just wanted to see if anyone else here has ever seen that. For what its worth, I’m attempting to book in the Dallas area.. so its not like I’m at an international location or anything.

has to be a type, I would think.

look up the hours for that location,

usually googling –> “Prometric (insert city) hours” will come up with a result.

I assume they'll leave the keys to the building outside. Just slip them back under the welcome mat when you leave.

    @James..

HA! No kidding. I mean, usually I'm up really late studying anyway- but 3am is pushin' it.

BTW- great test scores. What is your study method? How many hours did you dedicate to BEC?

I use Becker and type out word documents with whatever they highlight or talk about. Do all the HW once through, do progress tests after each module, and that's about it. I spent 160-170 hours on FAR, 120-130 on AUD, and about 100 on BEC.

Did you do the homework after listening to each sub chapter. Or did u listen to a whole chapter then do all the homework? What about the sims?

Homework after each sub chapter. It's really hard to get quick feedback if you wait days between watching a lecture and doing the corresponding questions.

I run through the SIMs once after all lectures and HW for a chapter are done. I usually get lazy and look at the answers while going through them though. I don't think I've ever reviewed them after I'm done with the whole book.– if you can do well on MCQs, you can do well on SIMs, IMO.

TXCPAGAL12, it's possible. My center was apparently able to give me a test on Memorial Day, so anything is possible. But you're probably better off doing what 005 suggested, or calling the center directly to ask. I was on the phone with Prometric customer care doing a priority reschedule due to tech issues at the center, and the guy signing me up for Memorial Day didn't know if they actually gave tests on that day or not. He basically said that if the computer was allowing it, they must be testing. Not much help.

TXCPAGAL12, I noticed the same time slots while trying to book my test in the Bedford, TX Prometric Center. I would be curious to see if this is a mistake.

That's awesome. I would not mind a 3 am time to sit in New York, that would be 9 am my European time so I would not have to deal with any time lag if I did this close enough to after getting there.

I took my last exam – AUD – in the 5PM slot… every single exam before then was an AM or noon appointment. I did get te benefit of brushing up all day, but I was going into the exam as people were leaving the office complex. I was wiped halfway through and felt strange leaving the building at 9 or whenever… it was actually mostly empty, I did the self exit push button thing, all the lights were off security was gone.

    AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
    FAR - 69 , 75

That's so bizzare. I've seen some weird time slots but 3am takes the cake. Maybe they have a manager who's a night owl or has to work a weird shift…..or maybe they are all full and want to make more money…..

I can't imagine doing that unless you happen to have a job that works off hours or have no job at all and usually sleep till 5pm anyway. If you are used to getting up at 6 or 7, 3am will wreck you. Stay up or wake up either way there is no way you can be CPA ready at 3am unless your body has been trained for it. Hope it's a typo!

@James, I use this exact method and our scores are pretty similar. Shit works…

    Waiting on BEC

Ok, so I called the Bedford center (@Cathy… we were trying to book at the same one!), and sure enough the girl I spoke with laughed and said “Nope, those are not a typo. It's because of all you CPA candidates that like to wait to the very last of the testing window that we've decided to open up those extra slots.”

HA! Fortunately, I ended up finding a 6:15pm slot on Aug 29th. I couldn't see myself getting up to do that anytime between 3am-7am (which were the range of weird test slots they had).
