Hi everyone
I have a few questions relating to the Becker 2014 review material for AUD. I am sure these have all been discussed here before so if you happen to know what thread on this forum I should refer to, then please let me know.
1 – Are the Becker CPA Exam Review MCQs “adaptive”? It just seems like a lof of them are super basic, and then after doing good on 10-15 questions in a row, a set of really complicated ones show up.
2 – When running the Becker CPA Exam Review MCQs, should I aim for 90%+, 80%+, 75%+, or could even lower than 75% be OK? It seems like people here do the MCQs over and over again. I normally score around 85% on my first attempt, however been around 75% on some and that makes me a bit worried. Especially since it seems to me that they ask the same questions over and over and over again (with small changes made to wording etc.), which would make me score higher than otherwise.
3 – Are the “optional” MCQs actually new MCQs, or just repitition?
4 – English is not my first language and frankly I find the Becker MCQs to be overly complicated in terms of language. Words like “perpetual”, “diversion” and “obliterate” show up in some MCQs and I have never heard these words before, which makes it a whole lot more difficult to pass on the questions. How common is this on the actual exam?
5 – How much time do you normally spend on answering a Becker MCQ? I spend as little as 10 seconds on some of them (when I am 100% sure about the answer), and maximum 60 seconds. Would the latter be too much time spent? (normally it takes longer becouse I have to read the question twice to make sure I don’t miss one of these complicated English words)
Thanks!
