Advice – No response after offer acceptance

    Hello All,

About a month ago I accepted a job offer with a local CPA firm (~40 employees). I received both verbal and a formal written offer by mail. I promptly signed and returned the offer and everything has been going well.

Admin emailed me about 2 weeks ago asking for additional information for a background check (After offer acceptance). I promptly followed up and returned everything. Two days later admin emailed me letting me know they were putting in an order for business cards and wanted to confirm how my name was presented – I promptly followed up and politely asked if they needed anything else – no response since.

Now heres where I get scared. Due to some complications – I owe a substantial amount of credit card debt – if I was in audit its large enough to impair independence, but I have never missed a payment and continue to pay it off. I have no criminal record, no marks against my driving (never received a ticket) and otherwise should pass a background check with flying colors.

This is a position I am relocating for (12 hours away from my current location). I emailed about 10 days ago to give my new address and once again ask if anything was needed – no response since.

This coming week is coming up on when I would need to give my notice to my current employer in order to stick with the current start date but I am nervous since I have not heard anything. I have been very nervous this weekend only thinking about me moving and then they revoke the offer due to my large debt. Does anyone have any advise on how to proceed? I was thinking about e-mailing the person who I interviewed with and actually received the offer instead of admin to ask how about the day I start and what time I should arrive / who I should ask for.

Any advice or similar experience would be much appreciated.
