Advice on Interview Notification

I’ve interviewed with all of the Big 4’s at this point and three of them have already been notifying candidates of second round interviews. One notified people yesterday and one notified people a week ago. I still however haven’t heard back on whether I was accepted or rejected for two firms.

Is there a reason for the delay in notifying me that I was not accepted to interview ? Or should I move on since I obviously haven’t been notified of second rounds already?

I already have a Big 4 offer for a second round and was immediately notified of rejection for two middle tiers after they made their decisions on second rounds. Does the Big 4 normally notify you? Or do they normally keep you unaware?

This is for an internship. The second rounds are on March 7, 8, 13, 14 for the firm notifying a week ago.

I personally would keep searching. I think a lot of firms are taking a ‘vow of silence' when it comes to rejecting candidates for liability purposes. Definitely would not take it personal though, not everyone is going to end up at a Big 4. Send out your resume to a few smaller firms and see who reaches out to you. Good luck 🙂

Never ever EVER put anything in your life on hold waiting on another person. Move on and continue looking. Worst case is they get back to you while you're interviewing or negotiating a position.

Have you heard of anyone being rejected from said firms? You might be in a maybe bucket that they sort through once all the 1st round interviews have been completed.

In any event, do some good prep for that 2nd round that you secured, gather some meaningful questions and go get em! Maybe by the time you hear back you'll have an offer elsewhere!

Took me three months from when I applied to a Big4 to hear back. Once I was notified that they wanted to interview me, it happened exactly one week later. After the interview, it took about a week for a response (after about a day after the interview I was sure I didn't get it) – I've been here for about 3 years now – advisory practice 🙂

Honestly, every group/practice have their own protocols – so don't sweat it.

second round is PwC. Does anyone have an interview tips for pre-interview dinner or second round?

I was reading this, and I felt that it sort of fits my predicament to a certain degree. I'd have to say I answered the questions pretty evenly in all my interviews. I was just wondering can anyone give me insight on how valid the going concern opinion is.
