Hi all. I took my FAR on Apr 29. And I just CANT stop myself from thinking about it and I CANT study for AUD now at all. Because I made two stupid and very simple mistakes on NFP. As well as about 9 or 10 other multiple choices question unsure. I dont feel my second testlet was a lot more difficult than the first one. But I flagged 3 question or first, and 6 or 7 for both 2nd and 3rd testlets. I heard that CPA exam grades on your overall understanding of materials. I guess I definitely got weaker on NFPs because the stupid mistakes.

Does CPA has any curves on it? Thank you all.

    FAR-32, 65, 72, 93 on 7/31/13(CAN'T BELIEVE THAT)
    AUD-43, 53, 94 ON 5/31/13
REG-53, 58, REMATHCHED ON 8/20/13 and got 82!!!(Thank God! Thank you! My Parents!)
    BEC-75 on 8/26/2012

Who knows if they curve? It's much debated on here. Can't control it. Can only focus on what you can control. Good luck.

It depends on your definition of “curve”. If you consider a curve to mean that the people who take the same exam in the same window as you in part determine your score, no.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

Thank you. I just read how the exam was scored? It said everyone's score was totally independent from the others. But I just wondering how to maintain the 40% something or above passing rate of exams.

They do it by the pre-test questions. So when you take your exam there are certain questions that don't count toward your grade but do count in the sense that if a certain % of test takers get them wrong, they get used on a following exam window.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

    Well…. the AICPA stipulates that the don't make any curve but it is a very well debated topic in the site. Because the one easy debatable argument is that it is very hard to basically always have the same passing rates every window. But here are the faqs about test scoring;

    https://www.aicpa.org/BecomeACPA/CPAExam/ForCandidates/FAQ/Pages/computer_faqs_3.aspx

    B - 62, 70, 72, 79!!!
    A - 68, 81
    R - 70, 82
    F - 84
