Anyone in Big 4 asset management(tax) that can tell me what they like and hate about it?

What is an average day look like?

What are the busy season cycles usually? Does it follow the Jan-March and July-Sept cycle like corporate?

I interned in Big 4 AM Tax so I can try to share a little details.

My internship started in Jan. and ended in March when the workload started to decrease.

I interned all day 3 days a week and then had class on Tuesday/Thursday.

It was a lot of petty stuff that I did for the associates like printing, stapling, I really didnt do any tax returns until late Feb. early March.

I was a tense environment. everyone was being overworked and not sleeping enough so it wasnt a good environment. The associate I worked for was very burnt out after a few weeks. The associates could only miss one weekend between Jan and April, other than that they were expected to be in one of Saturday or Sunday.

I hope this helps for the Jan-April busy season. I cant really speak to any other busy season. I didnt like it, and ended up going to regional accounting firm in audit.
