    Hello everyone!

    I am new in this CPA exam process. I have taken audit on 01/09/12 and failed terribly. After I came out of the exam, I felt pretty confident about the exam, however, the exam score surprised me!

    Can anyone please help me with a study plan which will help me pass this exam?

    @Roadmaster,

    I am sorry about Audit. I have been there 3x! I have taken all the exams and I feel that out of all of them, Audit is the one that alot of people have that same feeling you had. Even if people pass, alot of people thought their score would be higher. I was just glad to get it behind me.

    I think Audit is the trickiest exam. You really have to watch how the question is worded. If I were you, I would make sure I was using more than one testbank. I think mixing it up helps tremendously. It is really easy to become accustomed to the questions. I have used Becker and Wiley. And to me, I find it really easy to memorize the Becker q's, so I usually do all the questions in that first, then move to Wiley. I also rewrote notes. For me, this made a difference. I didn't do this on all the exams, but felt it helped with Audit.

    Without knowing what you used before, or how/how much you studied, it is hard to offer more information.

    I hope you can find motivation to get back in there and kick Audit next round. Best of luck to you.

    Everyone learns differently, and it's hard to comment without hearing what you've done, but I feel the two easiest ways to go wrong with AUD are:

    1.) Studying audits & not knowing enough about reviews, compilations, & AUP. The test seems to heavily center on reviews in my experience.

    2.) Not doing enough MCQs. BEC, FAR & REG are not like AUD. It's highly recommended you do many MCQs for AUD to teach you the small topics not even mentioned in some texts & the importance of reading each question carefully like a verbal reasoning exam.

    BEC - 88
    AUD - 69, 74, 93
    FAR - 78
    REG - 79

    @morganf – your post is excellent and helpful. I love comp and review scoring in the 90's on that stuff, how about sampling and reports, be wary of Jeff and the site – ethics is key for your answer.

    Reg 11/15/2011 - 80
    Aud 02/28/2012 - 81
    Bec 05/31/2012 - 78
    Far 08/31/2012 - 83 Do you believe in Miracles, YES !!!
