Started A3 this week, and pushed back exam date to beginning of May. Used Becker for FAR and passed, but not a fan of the AUD lectures. I feel like I dont really understand whats going on in the chapters. How long do you normally study for this part?

    FAR (2/14): PASSED!
    AUD (5/14): PASSED!
    REG (7/14): TBD
    BEC (8/14): TBD

lvr you are almost done!! 3 down. thats incredible. I cant wait to get my first pass. Hopefully Aud will treat me kindly. I am just getting nervous reading posts about how FAR material helps in Aud and I hv not done FAR.

Nramona, I started studying for Aud on March 1st. I am almost done with A4 and will hopefully start A5 tomorrow. My goal is to finish all the material once by middle of next week so I can spend the rest of the days doing MCQs and reviewing as much as I can.

If you are testing May 14 I think you should be in great shape for the exam. You will hv ample time to really practice, memorize and practice some more! Good luck!

I'm trying to catch up with you – but still a day or two behind. I'm about halfway through A4 and determined to finish at least the lectures and half the MCQs before I go to bed. And then work on the Sims tomorrow during my lunch. There's 3 different sim groups – I guess they want to make sure we know this stuff. I don't ever recall seeing that many sims in FAR or REG in one chapter.

    REG - Nov 4, 2013: 88
    FAR - Feb 27, 2014: 86
    AUD - April 5, 2014: 91
    BEC - May 6, 2014: 83

Just wondering if someone can help clarify something for me… According to becker covered members (spouse and dependents) immediate family cannot own any stock in the company however according to ninja notes they can as long as its below 5%… am I missing something here?

    FAR - PASS

    REG - PASS

    BEC - PASS

BEC: 5/21/14 82! PASSED HALF WAY THERE!
    FAR: 4/2/15 80! Almost there!

I am doing the optional questions for A4…only 147!!!!! Geez!

I still hv to do the Sims though. Ya 3 sims is daunting and there are so many parts to each! I think in Reg, R3 had 3 sims but not as many parts to each quesiton. I am hoping doing all those sims shld really help bring the concepts home.

How do you do the sims? Print the answers out and follow along or do them first and then check the answers. So far I have been doing latter but am tempted to print them out for A4 and just follow the solution.. :-/

Hey guys – Could anyone point me to a helpful pictorial representation of a purchasing department and similar for the path of the audit documents? I haven't taken a ton of accounting, and I'm finding I'm stumbling on the IC questions because I don't have a great grasp of the terminology (i.e. bill of lading, purchase order, …). I feel like if I could just see the right order for these once, I'd could better apply it in the questions.

    BEC - 86
    FAR - 72, 74, 79
    AUD - 73, 82
    REG - 74, 81

Whew! Just barely made it before BEC expired.

yea I've learned that getting conflicting info is an unfortunate part of the study process. Go with whatever is most recent study material is my rule of thumb. Or google it. I'm guessing Jeff is right.

Spending the day studying. Almost done with A2 (Roger). His videos make me laugh but the material is killing me. Currently working on international auditing standards vs US. Feel so completely lost.

It's so funny how bi-polar this studying thing is. As of yesterday, I've never felt comfortable with the material. Today, it's much better and I feel like I could pass. Tomorrow, we'll see!

    FAR - 87 2/18/14
    AUD - 84 4/2/14
    REG - 87 7/23/14
    BEC - 78 8/26/14

I'm finally an *official* CPA - TX

@titoav15 The Wiley Book says a covered member is not independent if they own more than 5% of capital. So the Ninja notes are right. If they own less than 5% then they are independent.

    AUD - NINJA in Training
    BEC - NINJA in Training
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - NINJA in Training
    AUD - 1/6/18
    FAR - TBD
    REG - TBD
    BEC - TBD

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016
    REG - TBD
    FAR - TBD

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.
