I start Big4 soon and was wondering when is “busy season” for auditors, which months out of the year? or is it not the same for every firm? depends on the client?

any other advice about starting Big4 is greatly appreciated.

I definitely wish I was one of those people who got all 4 exams done in 4 months, but unfortunately LIFE (being a newlywed, stress, adjusting to newlywed life and cpa exam study life, as well as starting a job with a Big4 which I am very happy about) got in the way, just happy that I am passing period!!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

All the time. Seriously. Tax season obviously. 70 – 75 hours a week. Short break during April & May. Then you get your March year ends. Then comes your June 30 Government and Non-Profits. Then comes your Employee Benefit Plan Audits with October 15 Deadlines. Sprinkle in some September year ends. Pretty decent break for November & December. The it's tax season again.

Depends entirely on your industry group. Mine lasts from January to mid April, a couple week's break, then all of May and June. And now with benefit plans September and October could be pretty busy. The “easy” times of the year are July-Aug and Nov-Dec. Other than that it ranges from very busy to extremely busy.
