This exam feels like it's going to be so freaking random. Seriously how is this exam easier than AUD? It's not even close IMO. BEC is much more difficult. If they made SIMs for this exam they would be brutal I'm telling you.

Of course, the stuff they repeatedly tested was not what I mastered during my prep. They also threw in stuff about inventories that was not part of my review program for BEC. The economics (demand, supply, shifts, economic theories, etc) part was not tested at all on mine and I spent so much time on it thinking they would ask detailed questions.

December 4, 2014 at 1:15 pm #634962NJPRUMemberMy best advice to you is to keep pushing on.. BEC sucked the life out of me and I can positively say that I'd much rather take FAR again than to ever have to see BEC again. I don't think I passed this time around even though I scored 85% on Becker material.
My best advice is what an old friend, HowManyLetters said to me a few weeks back, try using a test bank and mix that in with your Becker material. It might prepare you more than the topics that Becker presents. Wiley and NINJA are your best options to supplement with Becker.
Best of luck!

December 4, 2014 at 3:10 pm #634963y_u_no_passParticipantI like reading these posts because it's really interesting to me how many different opinions people have. The good thing about BEC is: you don't really go that deep into any subject. The worst if probably cost, and you probably have the most exprience (College classes) on that material.

December 4, 2014 at 3:34 pm #634965tgwadez11Participant@MissJones I have a question that I've been curious about. I am trying to take one a window (have passed AUD on two tries and waiting on BEC). I see you have taken the difference sections multiple times, so my question is, are you taking multiple sections in one window? I guess I am just worried I will be failing FAR and REG multiple times and be on a time crunch to the point where I may have to start studying and taking different sections in the same window. Any advice or what is your gameplan? Thanks!
AUD (PASSED) - 56, 91
BEC (PASSED) - 80
REG (PASSED) - 68, 74, 77
FAR (PASSED) - 78December 4, 2014 at 4:22 pm #634966missjones513MemberI never did more than 2 sections in one window. I would do a section at the beginning and one at the end of a window.
I jumped around a lot on sections because I was being cheap and would pay for 2 sections at a time. I did 3 once. But then I would get bored of studying and would slack off, hence having to take sections multiple times.
If I had to do it over again, I would have just focused on one section at a time.

December 4, 2014 at 4:33 pm #634967shf8MemberI would also recommend focusing on one section at a time. When I first started studying, I signed up for 3 exams and only ended up passing one. I had to go back and forth between sections and I think that's why I struggled so much. However, another approach would be to sign up for one exam and if you fail with a 70 or above (you're so close to passing and the extra month or so of studying would hopefully push you over the 75 mark) then your next NTS could include 2 exams (a retake and moving on to another section) which can turn out to be quite efficient if you're worrying about a time crunch.

I think Cost made me spend so much time trying to re-master that material that I didn't really just try to get an understanding of everything. The 3 times I took it were so random too. One would address one area heavily and the next wouldn't touch it at all.
Luckily I survived, but the key was just hammering home MCQs for a month straight after the 2 failures before. I actually skipped IT altogether this last study window when I passed because I had studied it a few times over already for AUD and BEC twice. It helped.

The first time I took BEC, I studied in about 5 days, just do the reading, no multiple choices questions, and I got 67. I had to take BEC in such a short time so that my NTS will not expire. The 2nd time I studied for BEC, I take note, do multiple choices questions. I studied for a whole month and thought I was well-prepared. However, I walked out of the test center and felt horrible. I'm so nervous to check my score next week. Hopefully this time I will make it!!!!
December 5, 2014 at 2:03 pm #634970HammerParticipantToday's the day. Wish me luck. Test in t-minus 3 hours. With tax season on the horizon, I really want to knock this one out as it would give me two passes in one window. Good luck to anyone else taking a part today!
