…..as long as I take the last exam at some point in July (and pass), then my credit does not expire, correct?

    AUD and BEC expire 7/31/14

    FAR expires 5/30/15

but REG and I don’t get along too well…………

So if I take REG in July (before 7/31), my credit for AUD and BEC is safe (as long as I pass).

But what if I don’t get my score until August? Is that okay?

It goes by when the AICPA receives notification from Prometric that you took the exam. At one point the conventional wisdom was to take the exam no later than 7/30 to guarantee that no glitch keeps AICPA from receiving notice on 7/31 that you were there that day.

But as long as you sit by 7/31, if you receive a passing score in August you won't lose your credit.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.
