    Hi,

I found it so boring and hard to absorb IT section of BEC, I am using Becker and Mike he is super boring. I dont know if there is a point for me to listen to the lecture instead of read thru material on my own and do the MCQ and learn from the MCQ.

Any Trick? how you guys approach this, memorize all the material???? Please help

Also, is IT significantly tested in BEC?

    Thanks so much in advance

IT is roughly 15% – 19% of BEC. That is a big chunk. I think about how information flows through the computer system. I know it's easier to say that than to do that if you aren't comfortable with computers and how their programming works. A lot of the terminology gives you the answer to the question, you just have to read it carefully. For example, if they want to know which of the following input controls will prevent you from putting in incorrect data. They are asking how do you stop invalid data from being entered. A validity check does this. This is my strong section on BEC. For me the Wiley book was confusing so I just stuck with the NINJA Notes. I've only written this section of the notes once and I'm scoring in the 90's on Wiley.

Watch the lecture once then read the material. Memorize the high points. Read the chapter three or four times and you'll be all right. I used Becker too and for IT, it was awful. Awful as in boring. It'll teach you what you need to know, though.

I did notecards in order and just went through them over and over. It was amazing how much everything seemed to make sense before I was done.

    BEC - 77
    AUD - 83
    REG - 76
    FARS - 74, 84
