Kind of wondering when BEC gets easy…certainly not feeling that way. Just now through B3 for becker. Test date scheduled for 11/26. Time to push itback?

    FAR - 70, 81
    AUD - 83
    BEC - 77
    REG - 70, 78

    Licensed in Ohio.

Now what the hell do I do?

to be honest, it really doesnt. B5 maybe? its economics so if you get it you should be good on that but im struggling more with this one then FAR. to me, FAR was much more clear cut to the point. this there are a lot of little things. test wednesday so we'll see how it goes.

It gets easier as you go through it the second time. I struggled the first time with B3 and scored 81/82 and today I reviewed it and scored 91 and 95 respectively. The first time through is always brutal, don't panic and keep pushing. I sound like such a hypocrite because I did exactly what you did, but now it seems “easier”. Just keep doing the MCQs, keep reading, it will eventually seep in.

I kept waiting for it to get easier too, but it never did. I thought cost accounting would be a walk in the park because I aced it in college. I was wrong…

    FAR- 82
    REG- 93
    AUD- 89
    BEC- 88

I think every exam is hard in its' own way. They all require hard work and dedication, just in different areas.

I aced cost I and II in college and BEC was still a struggle for me. Like the saying goes, if you don't use it, you lose it.

I think B2 and B3 are rough, but if you have a solid economics background you will be fine for B5 and B6. B4 was kind of a treat for me because there's no math 🙂

The kind part of BEC is that there is much less material than FAR & REG, and you don't have to worry about SIMs!

    REG: ***92*** (5/14/14)
    FAR: ***83*** (8/17/14)
    BEC: ***89*** (10/3/14)
    AUD: ***86*** (2/22/15)

Im also taking BEC 11/26. its my second time thought. B 2&3 are definitely the hardest. B4 and B5 are pretty straight forward. no math involved.

    AUD-70, 71, 85
    BEC-63, 76
    REG-77
    FAR-76

I can easily say the same for my experience thus far with studying for BEC these last 3 weeks after taking FAR. I was expecting a walk in the park and was surprised. The material itself is boring and does not logically flow so it seems as if its more memorizing than understanding. That being said I am running through everything for the second time and it gets easier. I'm taking BEC next Friday so I am hoping to finish up with the second run through on Friday leaving me a week to do as many MCQ as possible. I haven't really touched any writing practice which I should probably touch base on sometime soon as well!

BEC is hard because its so random..I think everyones saving grace is that theres no tbs questions..I managed to pass BEC on my first try but I know for a fact that if there would've been tbs questions i would've failed.

Just took BEC a few hours ago. I agree with those here saying that the concepts in BEC can be challenging. I was happily surprised that the exam followed Becker for the most part. Obviously still some tough questions but all in all I thought Becker did an excellent job at preparing me. Now the wait begins for the score….

Honestly I would ignore the REALLY hard questions that Becker throws at you. Like there are some in B2 and B3 that took me a solid 5-10 minutes to figure out, then sometimes I still wouldn't get the right answer. Nothing in the exam was that hard, but it was very thorough in covering almost all the topics.

You just have to recognize that you can't know everything they'll throw at you. If you can do most of the calculations and have a good amount of the theory down I think you'll do fine.

Last thing I would say is don't waste your time on the IT stuff unless you have a lot of extra study time. You're much better off looking over Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 5.

    FAR- 92 (7/25/2014)
    AUD- 93 (8/30/2014)
    REG- 93 (10/10/2014)
    BEC- 91 (11/10/2014)

Using Becker self-study only. Working full-time.

I wish we had sims worth 40% on BEC! I do better on those– I believe sims have been my saving grace on 2 sections. But at least BEC was still a pass.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I don't know Becker chapter numbers to follow what you all are referring to, but I would definitely know IT terms for the real exam.

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)

    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85

    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!
