BEC Retake Advice

I failed BEC with a 74. Now that I’ve mourned for a week and contemplated giving up, I’m ready to start studying again.

I have both Becker & CPAExcel. For BEC, I only used Becker. The idea of going through Becker again makes me want to poke out my eyeballs. Would it be okay to skip Becker and just go through CPAExcel as if I’d never studied it before? Just to add – I have the cheapest version possible of CPAExcel. There are no videos or physical books. The entire book is online.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey my last test was BEC. I had about 3 weeks of studying and just barely went through all the MCQ twice in Becker. Honestly, going through the Becker MCQ again is probably all you need. I know it sounds terrible but you can really fly through the questions the second time.

@another, do anything different to boost your AUD score? I'm studying for retake.

Edit: separate computational sections (cost accounting, overhead, variances, etc.) from conceptual sections (governance, economics, IT, COSO, etc.) when reviewing. Make a spreadsheet of key formulas and a separate spreadsheet of key concepts to memorize. MCQ's.

    A - 89 10/23/2014
    R - 90 2/27/2014
    F - 75 5/25/2014
    B - 83 8/28/2014

@Uhartsoccer21 I am assuming you are using Becker? If so, I would skim each section in the book and re-do the MCQ. I also listened to Ninja Audio on my way to work. I felt like sometimes in audit I got lost in all the little details, Ninja audio really helped me understand the big picture.
