BEC – Wiley TB vs. Becker?

I have favored Wiley Test Bank throughout studying for my Business exam next Friday, mainly because the questions are less computational and more to the point. Not to mention the fact you can specialize your progress tests to encompass certain topics (BIG Fail in 2012 Becker!).

I was just wondering, from someone who has taken the exam and used both Becker and Wiley, which you thought was more in-line with the actual exam?

On one side, I don’t want to waste my time with Becker’s long crazy computations and Wiley focuses more on theory, but then again, I don’t want to be sideswiped by something I didn’t practice in depth enough.

I used solely Becker for BEC. I did use Wiley for my graduate program, but that was two years ago, so I'm sure things have changed a bit. I spent A LOT of time doing Becker questions upon questions leading up to the exam, including SIMS.

Unfortunately, at least for my experience, a majority of the Becker BEC question “subjects” were not on the exam. Now, I still don't know how I did, so maybe Becker did prepare me adequately; however, at this moment, I felt that Becker's questions might have gotten too “cute.” While Becker had a good portion of questions that were very long and drawn out, the exam itself presented questions that were short and too-the-point with more theory involved IMO (more like Wiley in that sense).

I hate the fact that you can't tailor-organize your progressive Becker tests to only show your weakest subjects.

Thanks, what a relief! My confidence is crushed every time I switch back to Becker.

I wanted to give you an update since you're taking BEC on Friday OP.

I managed to pull an 84 using solely Becker, so despite my…complaining, I guess Becker really does know what they are doing? Don't get me wrong, I studied my butt off for nearly two months, but it was good to see success after feeling so horrible post-exam.

Despite feeling crushed when using Becker, I think you'll do fine. Good luck!
