Becker Flashcards Preference?

    Becker Question –

    Hi All –

Wanted to get people’s take on flashcard preference – mobile vs printed?

I commute over an hour each way on the train so mobile would appear to make more sense. I believe it’s an app – does anyone know if you need to be connected to the internet for it (my connection is spotty most of the ride)?

Traditionally I prefer physical cards to study but figured I’d ask about everyone’s experience with either.

    Thanks!

I bought Becker's flashcards but I never really used them. For me, they were a waste of money.

If you have an hour commute, might I suggest NINJA Audio? It's something you can listen to while on the commute and does a really good job of hitting the main points of each section.

Flashcards were a waste for me as well

would rather work the mobile version on the MC questions, and then see why or why not I was wrong if I was unsure or wrong (which is basically a flashcard).

I bought them for BEC only, it was really helpfulling using the mobile ones especially since I used my phone for music @ the gym. I was able to do cardio on the treadmill and swipe through the cards.

I did end up making hundreds of notecards myself lol regardless of me puchasing the Becker ones.

thanks for the replies. what is the ninja audio like?

my firm is reimbursing me for becker costs so picking them up isn't much of an issue. the thing with flipping to ninja is that their chapter/breakout may be different than the direction i'm going with becker so i don't want my studying to be a bit all over the place.

NINJA Audio is a bunch of MP3 files with Jeff reading notes to you. I bought the version for REG and it's 19 files of varying length. Each file hits a major topic such as Individual Taxation, Partnership Taxation, Contract Law, Commercial Paper and so on. The whole package is 4.5 hours long. It's not a replacement for lectures but it's really easy to listen to while at work, commuting or on the treadmill.

With the “Hiya” Code, it's just over $80 for a section so the investment is minimal.

P.S. to answer your initial question….you can download the flashcards, mcq, and video lectures to your device so you don't have to have internet in order to access them. Takes up a lot of space on your device though!
