I am preparing for FAR right now using CPAExcel. I didn’t get the physical note cards with my package and not a huge fan of the format of the app version. My cousin who has already passed gave me his Becker note cards which are the 2013 edition. Would I be okay using these to supplement my studying with them being 2013?

I purchased the Becker note cards and I don't use them. I don't like them at all. (They're 2012 version, anyway)

It is MUCH better to write your own notecards. You can write the notes in a way that you understand the material the best and in a way that you'll most remember it.

Using 2013 cards are probably ok, but there's always a chance that a few things have changed.

For each note, you'll have to verify in your CPAexcel info if the specifics are still correct and applicable.

Or, post a few questions on this forum to ask for feedback.

    FAR - 86 - 2/27/14
    AUD - 75 - 5/29/14
    BEC - 80 - 8/31/14
    REG - 89 - 2/27/15
    Praise Jesus! I'm done!!

Ninja note cards are really good. You can view them from your mobile phone or tablet. They have an adaptive learning type of feature where you rate yourself after viewing each card which determines how often you see a card.
