I was recently offered a big 4 internship somehow with a 3.2 GPA. I just took a finance class and Im sure I failed and Im scared that it will drop my gpa. Have you heard of any instances where any of the big 4 took back their offers based on your gpa slightly dropping to around a 3?

To be honest I'm not sure about withdrawing an offer, but I can tell you this. Right before I started my internship they had me re-submit my grades from the semester I just finished. Same thing after I accepted my full-time offer but was waiting to finish my master's to start – they had me submit my grades online every semster until my start date. So I know GPA still matters to them…just not sure how low you can go before they get upset. 🙁

I've written about this before. Yes, we rescind offers when your gpa drops. That's why we request regular unofficial t-scripts and your background check confirms your final with your final transcript. It is not some end all be all below this number that's it you're out thing, but we have a meeting about the candidate to discuss the best course of action.
