Blown away by audit score

Has anyone taken an audit and been blown away by their scores? I took financial (I felt unprepared) and I got a 75. I took bec and I felt unprepared (but more prepared than financial) and got a 74. I recently took audit and felt really prepared. I thought I would get an 80. However, I got a 62!! I passed audit with a 77 before but lost credit. I felt like I knew the material. I have no idea what happened. Has this happened to anyone? I’m taking audit again in a few days and I’m terrified I will have the same experience.

Absolutely, my last time out LOL. I got a 70 in Audit in May and I didn't study all that much so then I put a lot of time into it and was shocked to also receive a 62. I couldn't believe it but after going over the material I could see why I got a 62. The key to audit is reading EVERY single word in the question twice. Seriously, it seems so easy at first but when you go back you could see why you missed easy points. Also, I for the life of me can't figure out the research questions. This time around I'm putting time on studying the simulations but don't know where I could get some practice for the research questions. I take my test on the 16th.

On one of my audit attempts, I thought I passed with 90 because the test was so easy. Even the sims were easy and those are usually my weak point. I ended up getting a 73. Biggest shock and disappointment of my life!

This is absolutely true, and I agree with CPAHOPEFUL11. My 2nd attempt, after losing credit for AUD, I felt super confident; I breezed through the test, and ended up leaving an hour early. I was completely devastated to get a 73 especially since I did so well the first time. The next time around, after four quick weeks of re-studying, I spent every single minute of the test reading, and re-reading the questions. I ended up changing a lot of my answers after I re-read the questions. I think that's what stands between passing and failing.

When you retook audit did you feel like you were learning a lot more? I feel like I'm brushing up on information but I'm not finding any chapter to be my “ah ha chapter”. I have taken the multiple choice over and I feel like I'm doing about the same. I never know the material forward and backwards but I didn't totally leave off any chapter while studying for the last exam. Ugh I feel so discouraged.

    I was.

    😀

It was the first one I took. I guess I overprepared, but I was still surprised as you never come out feeling like you nailed it… and if you did that is a great way to set yourself up for disappointment so you should know better!

    Hi,

I took my first test and I know that I bombed it and when I receive the score of 60, I am not really shock since I know I bombed the SIM. I will have the retake on the 17th and this time around I will definitely read each questions twice and hammer multiple choice. When I review the material now, I feel the same way. It does not seem I learn any new things but it seems to me that the material started making more sense. I still try to get that 100 questions each day and this time around, I will definitely try to practice more SIM problems.

What I try to do (time permiting) is go through the questions and write down on the yellow book my answers, then cover that up and go through the questions again and then compare the two and you would be surprised how many little mistakes on wording you can find.

    REG - 63,74,70,81!!!
    FAR - 44,73, 81!!!!
    AUD - 51,81!
    BEC - 73,77!!

3 years later and I'm officially done. Never give up no matter what!

whopee, i am joining the 62 club.

but serious, first time when i went for Aud, i literally studied for 2.5 weeks, did 4 out of 6 Becker chapters, was feeling really tired and unprepared, i knew i would fail 100%, i left an hour early. I got 62.

But then, when i re-took the test, i studied for over a month every day, did whole Becker, countless MCQs, was sitting till the last minute re-reading each question and i got … ta-da 65!!

now, I actually understand much more, as i am reading same stuff the 3rd (and hopefully last) time..

don't ever be discouraged, for example, for FAR i got over 20pt jump between my 2 exams. I still have no idea how they grade these things. I thought i failed REG 10000% cause the questions were very hard, and i got 83.
